Ch 13 : Power leveling

Seth decided to rent a cheap apartment near Lieze's school. He could actually rent a better apartment, but Lieze insist that he should save his money and the cheap apartment was enough for them.

The rent was settled with $40 union dollars per month. With all being set, Seth leave Lieze at the apartment and went to the black market.

The black market was different from the normal market. Inside the black market, there was many undiscovered and unappraised artifact or equipment. Many people used to gamble by buying unidentified artifact, hoping them to be treasure and sold them later.

The source of the artifact? The artifact and equipment came from the space cracks. In the later periods, the Exceed discovered that they could enter the space-crack, and inside it was a dungeon-like place. With many opportunities and dangers came around.

The useful and identified artifact was auctioned or being sold in the Exceed union while those who couldn't be sold were immediately transferred into the black market.

Seth walk around and used his divine eyes to find a better artifact. In the previous battle, he noticed that using a dagger would severely reduce his battling potential. With the cheat of divine eyes, a weapon like a gun or a bow would be a lot more suitable to him.

The black market was not really crowded, and Seth could easily travel the place to look for a suitable artifact.

3 hours later, Seth finally found a suitable artifact for him and purchased it for $800 union dollars.

The price was a little bit expensive, but Seth was satisfied with the effect of the artifact.

Pleased with his gain, Seth brought back the artifact and took the bus home.

The next day, Seth was at the Skyward forest alongside the member of swallowtail. This time, Seth was holding a Black Glock 17 on his right and a Dark iron dagger on his left.

" Heh Kiddo, I thought you have pissed your pants and would never go back hunting anymore."

Old man Xia looks happy seeing Seth again, but his crude remarks make others party member laughs.

Seth has been accustomed to the old man's poisonous tongue. He ignores his remarks and greets the party member happily.

The swallowtail delightedly receives Seth at their party. The last hunt has made them realize Seth's capability as a rear guard. They know that even if Seth's level was low, his killing strike was very lethal.

Soon, their second hunt began.

The party kept their formation, with Old Man Xia and Sato as the vanguard and the other party member as rear guard.

Today's hunt was a lot more bountiful than before. Using the Glock 17, Seth's lethality increased to another whole new level.

There was one time where the party surrounded by a group of canine wolves. The party despaired at that time, but with the joint effort of Old man Xia and Seth, they could resolve it without many casualties.

During that time, Seth focused his eyes and looked at the surrounding canine wolves. There were 10 canine wolves surrounding them, and some of them were at peak of first-level beasts.

Seth tightened his hand at the Glock 17 and started to aim at the weak point of the canine wolves. The Glock 17 didn't use any normal bullet, but instead, it fires energy bullets from Seth Sp. Each bullet spends 1 SP, so Seth has 15 bullets at his disposal.

With the first shot, 1 of the peak first rank canine wolf died and it triggered the start of the battle. The canine wolf pounced at the party members but was held back by Old man Xia and Mr. Sato.

2 of the canine wolves could pass through the vanguard and instantly pounced at Seth. Noticing the danger, Seth used his invisible hand to hold down the canine wolf before finishing it with one hit right at the temple.

The battle soon getting easier with Seth instantly one hit most of the canine wolves while the swallowtail party member took care of the rest.

Soon, their second hunt ended.

The swallowtail party merrily discusses their loots and quickly divides today's loot.

After receiving the loots, Seth said goodbye to the party member and went to the mercenary settlement to sold his part.

A week has passed from this routine, and Seth's level has grown tremendously. Seth displays a complacent smile and took out the hand mirror to check his stats.
