"It's alright professor, you weren't in control, nothing could be done about this," Peter also spoke as he patted the professor on his back, giving Tom a look, Tom nodded and held the Doctor in his arms like a princess as they both started going down the giant Oscorp building towards the dozens of police cars that were waiting for them downstairs.

"Whats going to happen to him now?" asked Peter as he looked at the sleeping Connor.

"Probably sentenced to a prison or some mental asylum," Tom spoke as he finished the later half of the sentence in his mind,' or he might get experimented on for days to come so that others can take advantage of it.'

"Sigh! This is all my fault, I shouldn't have left him alone,no, I shouldn't even have come to him," Peter spoke in regret over the comms.

Tom couldn't help but sigh as well.

Regret was a petty thing, it could eat someone from the inside, Tom would know as he had seen it firsthand, felt the regret of not being there for his loved ones.

'I hope they are fine,' Tom thought as he remembered his orphanage.
