I fucking hate suits. Well, hate is probably such a strong word. Let me rephrase that, I prefer casual clothes to suits. I get the concept behind the power play thing when you wear one, but power is harnessed beyond what you wear. It comes from within. I'm sure that's written somewhere.
Give an awkward person a custom-tailored suit and he would still be that—awkward. He may feel or look a tiny bit powerful or confident, however, that's nothing but fraudulence, and he would develop an imposter syndrome.
I don't judge people based on how they dress, but it certainly is easy to discern what kind of person they are. Don't get me wrong, I do have several sets of suits for different occasions and I wear them when I absolutely have to. So suits, I don't necessarily hate them, but I would rather wear something more comfortable that I wouldn't mind getting dirty in and have no problem washing them like normal—unlike suits and dress shirts that require special care.
