Chapter 3 - Meet Kyo and Yuki

It was day of the cultural festival at Tohru's school, Kaibara Municipal High School. For Masayuki and Emiko, they decided to take some time off from school and go to that school to see Tohru. Luckily, because of their emotional issues that might severely affected their academic performance, their teachers allowed them to be absent from class for only one day, allowing to do their schoolwork at home instead. It seems that their teachers are concerned about their futures. And, another student at Emiko's school also agreed to accompany them to Tohru's school. His name was Handa Sohma, the younger brother of Kyo Sohma, and was born in the year of the dog. He had darker orange hair and was usually shy towards girls. He was also a childhood friend of Masayuki and Emiko since middle school.

And as they entered the school, they saw the cultural festival ongoing. Tohru and her class, including Kyo and Yuki, are doing well in their onigiri stand, with Yuki wearing a dress as a request by his classmates.

"Woah, it is the cultural festival today!" Masayuki commented in excited positivity. He was wearing a black collared polo shirt with buttons and long sleeves and a plain, dark grey necktie. Emiko was wearing a blue blouse with buttons and beige skirt. Handa Sohma was wearing a reddish-yellow hoodie jacket with sleeves, but he always keep the hood off. And also, Masayuki was only one who had a messenger-style, shoulder bag, which is simple and in black. Handa holds a book about animals. They are in good spirits today.

"Yes, and I am excited to see big brother today," Handa agreed with his friends positively. Emiko then positively and cheerfully nodded to say yes to them.

And at the place in the school where the said cultural festival was taking place, the three of them quickly spotted Tohru at her onigiri stand.

"Hello, Tohru!" Masayuki called her happily with greeting. Emiko and Handa then greeted her as well. Upon seeing the three of them, Tohru was surprised at first, and then, she smiled at them and greeted them back. Hearing Tohru talking to someone, Kyo and Yuki went to her and asked her who is she talking to. Then, upon seeing Kyo and Yuki, Masayuki was surprised, and then asked them, "Um, excuse me, are you Tohru's friends?"

"Yeah, we are," answered Kyo seriously. "Why?"

"We are...We are Tohru's cousins," Masayuki replied back.

The last part of Masayuki's sentence caused Kyo and Yuki to go furious at him and Emiko due to a fact that their physical appearances reminded them of Tohru's other cousins, who were quite the opposite of Masayuki and Emiko.

"Tohru's cousins?" Kyo said to them with fury and anger in his face.

"Are you here to harass Miss Honda?" Yuki added in cold fury towards the.

As the other girls of the school are looking at Yuki in admiration and Masayuki and Emiko are nervously scared of Kyo and Yuki, Tohru nervously tried to calm Kyo and Yuki down. Will the misunderstanding be eventually settled down?
