Tristan raised an eyebrow slightly, patiently listening as Cynthia continued speaking.
"You just seized the opportunity to provoke, making me step in and mediate, taking the chance to sell a favor to Mr. McNamara."
In front of the public eye, Tristan wouldn't bear a grudge over trivial matters. After all, having one more enemy in the business world wouldn't benefit him. So, from start to finish, Tristan had no intention of letting McNamara lose face.
He only took this opportunity to challenge Steve McNamara after knowing his purpose, helping her in the process.
Tristan lowered his gaze to look at her, a meaningful smile playing on his lips. "You seem to be overly clever."
Although being praised as clever, Cynthia keenly sensed from his smile that this compliment carried a hint of reluctance.
