Chapter 7 Research.

And I gave 1 gold coin and said that they would use that one for buying the big books and any material they felt they needed for the job. But at least one notebook and a good quality pen for each of them. I told them to meet me back at the library tomorrow with the books. They smiled and thanked me before heading off. Mia and I packed our stuff down and started to head back. On my way out I took down my poster. I think I will see how it works out with Luke and Ida before hiring anyone else…

We got home where Mitch meet us with the two guards in tow. As soon as we had left the academy door, they were right behind us… they stated there report of the day and Mitch and the guards laughed at us for trying to blend in with the crowd to hide from the Headmistress… I just pouted and said it was fun, but we were discovered way to soon…

Mitch said that Kelly had a gift to spot anyone unusual in a crowd and it was doomed to fail from the start. The guards thanked us for sticking to the outside of the crowd were they could easily reach us if there was trouble… I just told them I don't know what you are talking about pouting looking away… Mia stated that I did and that I even had told her to move a little more out when people started to crowd together… I just pouted to her, but I could feel my face blush a little…

Molly came and saved me by telling us dinner is ready. We all sat down with the guards, maids and Mitch to eat dinner together. We talked and laughed as we eat. I cracked a joke wile Mia was drinking and she almost spilled juice across the table… I could not stop laughing until she looked at me firmly and was pouting to me… I wiped my tears from my eyes and said sorry dear… Mitch started to laugh out loud from the sight and making everybody laugh… even Mia giggled to me…

After dinner we relaxed on the couch. Mia was reading a book and I was writing the rest of the patent law. It ended up filling almost my entire notebook when I was done… I asked Mitch if it was possible to go down to the store to get some supplies. He looked at me worried and said that there was a lot of people at the market today…

I knew it was his way of saying that it would not be safe… I told him that I could do it another time. But he asked if it was okey to send a guard down to get it instead.

"wont they get upset for running a simple errand?" I look at Mitch. He waved a guard over to him.

"the young master needs supplies down at the store…" Mitch started to speak, and I saw the guard looked pale at me…

"he is worried that it would be offensive for us to do simple task, so he is considering going himself." Mitch looked at me.

"y…young master. It is hard to protect you in a big crowd… please let me go alone instead. I will make sure I get everything you need…" the pale guard asked looking pale at me.

"is it that crowded?" I asked stunned at the pale guard to Mitch.

He nodded so I just said yes on the condition that he went in more civil clothing. There was no point in using armor when getting supplies… the pale guard smiled and nodded to me. I wrote down some items on a paper and gave it to the guard with 5 gold coins. I told him that since I have started the Research club along with the patent office that he should try to buy the items without looking like it was for me… Mitch asked if I fear espionage? I nodded and explained that Kelly had told the entire class about my vision for the club, so it was best to be safe than sorry.

But I said they probably won't start spying on me just yet… Mitch turned and told the guard to do it stealthy and make sure he is not followed. The guard nodded firmly and walked off.

Mitch asked me more about security issues around the club and I told him that since it is a cutting-edge program it would be normal for other nations and third parties to be interested in obtaining the new technology for them self or for a nation. But my dad had told me before I came her that they shared the technology with each other so I would not fear spies from our two nations…

Mitch nodded and told me that there was students from at least 3 nations if not more. He said he would talk with Headmistress Kelly and voice his concern about the security around the project. He asked if he would inform the king with my permission too. I nodded to him and said it would be best to inform both nations so that we would be one step ahead…

After an hour of talking around the security issues the guard came back looking out of breath…

Mia and Mitch with myself stood up conserved and looked at him walking up in his normal attire to us sweating a little… Mitch asked what happened to make him so out of breath and poured him some water from the tea tray.

After drinking the water, the guard handed me a bag of items and explained that he was followed the moment he was outside of the academy grounds. He manage to lose them in the crowd, but it took a lot of effort to get the items unnoticed. Mia had gotten a towel from Molly and gave it to him to wipe the sweat from his face. He explained that it was more difficult to get back in the academy unnoticed. But he manage to run to the back of the large complex and sneak his way inside…

Mitch thanked him and told him to get some rest. The guard smiled and handed me 2 gold and 5 silver coins. I took the gold and told him the 5 silver he could keep for the trouble I caused him. The guard smiled and bowed to me. Before he walked off to rest. Mitch said he would contact the king at once to increase security at the school and would be back later.

Mia looked at me concerned but I told her not to worry. They are just after the inventions and it would not be dangerous. Beside we have the guards protecting us. I smiled as I explained to her. She seemed to relax a little and said she would go and train her orb skill in her room. I nodded to her with a smile. When she left i walked to my room and sat down at my desk and took out the items and laid them on the desk.

2 copper bars, 2 silver bars, and a gold bar. And some notebooks. And 5 raw monolith stones. I divided the raw mono stone and the bars with my mono mold spell in half. I started to infuse the different metals in to separate raw mono stones and made 1 wire of each of the metals.

I also made 1 generator and 1 battery of each metal. The batteries I made sure to compress in layers so that they could store more energy. I connected the corresponding wire between the generator and battery. When they were done, I observed them and took notes. The gold was really fast in both gathering and storage. The silver was just a little behind, but the storage was larger. The copper was the slowest of them but even it was gathering mana fast. But what surprised me was the storage of the copper battery. It looked like it could store 5 times more than gold… thinking about it for a little I concluded that it must be because of the density of the atoms in the copper had more space for mana to be stored. i wrote it down in my book.

I entered the Orb and finished my gravity spell. I named it gravity block… don't say it… I made another spell called Gravity Controller… yes. me and naming things again… it is hard to sit here and work with these spells trying to keep everything sorted without my notebook… and this monolith chair is not comfortable either…

Anyway… the control spell connects to the block spell with placing them on a control pad and the control pad can then control the blocks like um… a radio-controlled toy… eh… I need to make a note of that hold on for a second…

So, the control pad can steer it up and down and left to right and sided to side… that is the idea anyway… we need to test this first… and no. I am not stupid enuf to test it in the house… remember vine spell… yee we are not testing it in the house…

I take a few mono stones and fuse them together with some gold and make it into a handheld tablet and infuse it with Gravity controller spell. It looks cool. The spell made a screen with arrows and a circle on it, it even had a up and down button on it. I made a touch screen in medieval age… awesome! I take a few of the mono stones an infuse the Gravity block spell into them.

Mia came knocked and came in smiling wide at me… she sat down on the bed and looked at me smiling with big eyes…

I asked what was going on and she explained she had unlocked the Orb skill. I smile and told her she was a good student and patted her on the head. She asked me to teach her about the poison skill. I started to explain how she could make the poison detection ability and wrote a note to her on my desk… I saw she looked at my desk confused as I handed her the note. I explained what I was doing.

"no spells in the house…" Mia looked at me firmly.

"Yes mom." I smirked back at her.

"don't you remember how scared we was when we dug you out of the rubble from the roof…" she said looking worried at me… told you I would not use them in the house. this is the reason why…

"I know. I was just preparing them for school tomorrow. I am going to test them inside the test chamber just in case of unforeseen Austin problems…" I giggle to her.

"good. now come have some tea with me. You been cooped up inside your room for hours.." Mia smile and grabs my hand and lift me up from my chair…

She tried to let go of my hand, but I just hold on to it and started walking to the living room glancing back at her blushing and looked down at the ground smirking a little to myself.

As we walked out of my room I saw a young woman look at me with big eyes before she looked angry at me… what the heck… why didn't the guards say we have visitors… she walked up to me…

Slap!

"you pervert. I will have you arrested for your actions!" she said after slapping my face with her hand… Auch… i feel my tears pop out of my eyes…

"Guards! Who do you think you are to come inside the Embassy of Terrentil and slap a prince in front of his wife." I look angry at the young woman holding my cheek. Dang that really hurt…

The guards storm inside with their blades drawn and looked around before looking confused at me holding my cheek.

"wife…" I hear the young woman say…

"yes. be glad you're not royalty of this would be an ack of war…" I say angry at her to get her to back away before she could hit me again..

I see her stumble back and turn pale before she started to run out of the room… Me and the guards was stunned at her running away and almost hit Mitch on her way out… he just looked at me holding my cheek and looked around at the guards that was holding there blades in there hand looking confused at him.

"sheet those blades and return to your post." He said before walking to me.

They sheeted the blades and walked out. Mia took away my hand and checked my cheek.

"how is it?" I asked Mitch who also looked at my cheek.

"she must have put some force on that slap. What happened?" Mitch asked looking at us confused.

We sat down on the couch and Mia explained it to him… I got a towel with ice from Vicki and thanked her. I hear Mia curse at the young woman for slapping me and pouted to Mitch that she was the only one that was allowed to slap me, and she would return the favor as soon as she got her eye on her… I told her to calm down and don't slap anyone until we have all the information…

I looked over at Mitch who looked shocked… he asked me if I would really start a war over this… I looked confused at him and asked who she was…

"that was her Royal Princess Lisa of Embar…" I said stunned to me…

"great!" I said sitting back in the sofa…

"I don't understand… what's wrong?" Mia asked looking at us…

"well… hitting a royal in an Embassy of their own kingdom is a reason for war… and with the Prince commenting like that… no wonder she ran out without saying anything…" Mitch explained stunned…

"we need to lock down the villa and not let anyone except King Paul or Queen Frida inside." I looked at him rubbing my cheek…

"yes. I agree… having a mediator from the princess could only make things worse… I will put the guards on full alert and lock down the villa…" Mitch said looking a little pale and started to walk off…

"tell the guards thanks for staying calm when I called them…" I say to him…

He smiles a little and nods to me before going out.

"is this bad?" Mia looked concerned at me…

"yes. if not dealt with correctly it could lead to war…" I say looking at her a little worried…

She leans up against my shoulder with her head…

"don't worry… in the act of aggression we will be escorted out of the kingdom before a war can begin. But just for good measure can you pack your cloths if we are escorted out of the kingdom…" I say to her place my hand on her cheek and smile gently at her…

"are you sure we will be safe?" she looks at me with tears in her eyes…

"no one is going to harm you. If they try I will kill them myself." I say to her and kiss her on her head before holding her in my arms…

She was shaking… I guess she must be terrified… I let her stay in my hug for a long time. Mitch came back and informed me that the villa was on lockdown and the guards was in full plate armor.

I told him to make sure that the guards don't hurt anyone approaching but just send them away unless it was the King or Queen… he nodded to me and walked out. Mia sat up looking sad, but she said she was fine… she walked and packed her stuff. I also walked to my room and packed my stuff down.

After I was done I just sat on my bed thinking of a way out of this… the only think I could think of was that for no mistakes to happen I would have to explain it directly to the king or queen. Any middle part could misunderstand or convey the message wrong and it would lead to war…

Mitch knocked and said there was group of emissaries from the princess outside. I told him to send them away… he nodded and walked away…

It was starting to get dark. Mia came and put her bags down outside my room and walked over and sat down next to me. We waited for a long time and it was starting to get really late so I told her to get some rest on my bed. I would stay awake a little longer, but I would wake her up if anything happened. She nodded and crawled behind me and laid down… it took a while but the fell asleep…

At midnight Mitch knocked gently on the open door and whispered that they would probably come in the morning and that I should get some rest. I smiled a little and nodded to him. After he left I laid down next to Mia and held her hand… I hope this won't blow out of proportion i thought before drifting asleep…

The next morning Mitch woke me up and explained that the entire Royal family was outside. I asked him to stall a little before sending them inside.. he nodded and I hurried out of bed and straightened my school uniform… Mia asked if she should change out of it, but I shake my head and helped her fix her dress. She fixed my hear and I checked hers with a comment of how she managed to sleep without messing it up… she just giggled at me looking more relaxed. We walked out to the living room and stood waiting for Paul and Frida to enter… I could feel my heartbeat fast in my chest…

Paul and Frida came inside followed by Lisa walking behind them… Me and Mia bowed to them politely and gestured them to sit down… Lisa stayed back standing at the door looking down on the floor… we sat down, and Paul and Frida looked at me a little awkward…

"we only heard about the incident this morning… I see you followed the protocol." Paul said smiling awkward at me glancing over at the luggage…

"yes. I would not imagine my first and maybe second day at school would come to this." I smile awkward back at them.

"I assume from your comment that you don't want to go to war over a silly slap from your young aunty?" Paul said looking over at Lisa…

"Aunty…" I asked confused…

"yes. didn't Telly explain it to you…" Frida looked confused at me…

"w…we are family?" I asked in shock…

"yes. I thought you knew and was just trying to impress us at the welcome ceremony." Frida smiled at me…

"she did not speak a word of this to us…" Mia said in shock looking at me…

"I might actually yell my lungs out to her when I fly over there…" I said folding my fists…

"eh… fly? Um… Lisa told us you are married…" Paul asked looking awkward at me…

"yes… grandfather… this is Princess Mia of Terrentil…" I said feeling overwhelmed…

"are you not too young to marry?" Lisa asked…

"are you not ashamed of hitting my husband…" Mia looked firmly back at Lisa making her look down on the floor again…

"easy dear…" I giggle to her holding her hand…

I gestured for Lisa to sit down. And when she did I explained what happened to them and how me and Mia got wedded I even explained how Mia and I meet for the first-time hunting for more cake but ended up with both of us covered in cake and have been friends from that day. I told them that we almost fell under the wed curse after being wedded but Mia saved us. and I told them about the plot my mom had put together with Mia's parents…

"and now he is building a flying contraption so he can fly over there and yell at his mom." Mia said smirking at me…

"yes. what is wrong with that… don't you want to yell at her too?" I giggle at Mia…

"I thought you were doing something bad to her... and that's why I slapped you…" Lisa said stunned.

"pff… I only dragged him away from his research. Otherwise, he would be cooped up in his room all day and ignore the world around him…" Mia pouted at me…

"I am guessing I can end the lockdown sir." Mitch came over and smiled at me.

"yes. if they are not here to toss us out of the kingdom…" I look at Paul and Frida..

"no… we like having you here… and you made us so proud with your speeches yesterday that we did not dare to speak after you…" Frida smiled at us… Mitch nodded and walked out smiling.

"you where there? You should have said something…" Mia smiled to them…

"we were waiting inside the auditorium, but we did not see you…" Paul explained to her.

"eh… yes I might have blended in with the crowd…" I giggle to them…

"so, tell me Mia how is it to be married with Austin. Do you regret being married to him?" Frida asked making everybody quiet down…

"n…no. he is kind and considerate, he gets engulfed in his work, but he always makes time for me. He spoils me to no end and um… comforts me when I am scared…" Mia explained blushing to them…

"and you Austin?" Paul asked…

"same…" I giggle to them.

"use words…" I felt Mia slap my shoulder… making them giggle at us…

"well, when we left Terrentil she made me forget my loneliness and the uncertainty of the new world. She always make sure I am not to obsessed in my research. And she always knows when I feel overwhelmed and hugs me to calm me down. She always have a beautiful smile to cheer my day up and she makes my life feel meaningful…" I say to them and look at Mia who had turned bright red…

"less words dear…" she mumbled to me…

Everybody giggled at us from her words. We chatted a little before Paul asked about my flying contraption. I told him that I was going to test it at school today and he said he would like to take a look on how far I have gotten with it. I smiled and said they are welcome to go with me and look at my first test. Paul and Frida nodded with a smile… Lisa asked if she could come too and apologized for slapping me… I said she did not have to worry about it as I stood up to get my things…

She walked over to us and hugged us… I guess hugging runs in the family…

"I am so sorry I hit you…" Lisa said to me… I could hear her voice shiver… so I hugged her back…

"aunty, I am glad you stand up and protect someone even if you don't know them…" we hugged for a little before aunty straightened herself and looked at us with a smile.

"so hugging runs in the family…" Mia giggled to me and we saw Lisa blush…

"we do not know what you are talking about…" Frida said pouting with a little smile showing on her side…

Mia tapped me with her elbow and smirked at me… I nodded smirking back. And we walked up her and Mia gestured for her to bend town to us… when she did we hugged her… she was a little surprised, but she hugged us back…

"what is this for…" Frida asked…

"we knew you wanted a hug…" Mia giggled to her…

Before she could reply Paul hugged us from the other side…

"welcome to Embar…" Paul giggled to us…

We laughed and giggled before Mitch coughed and said Miss Kelly was here to see us I nodded for him to let her inn… Paul smirked at me and gestured us to take our seats… Mitch came back, and we had resumed our seats looking intensely at each other…

I glanced over and saw Mitch role his eyes at us… before gestured to Miss Kelly to enter… she looked stunned at the sight of the two nations looking at each other…

"so, war it is then…" Paul said looking firmly but I could see him holding back a giggle…

"yes. I see no other way…" I replied back to him in a serious voice…

"w…war… but the school…" Kelly stuttered at us…

"oh… hello Headmistress Kelly." I turn and said to her…

"school…" Paul faked wondering to me…

"yes. I am sorry King Paul. But it seems war will have to wait. I have to go back to school…" I said shrugging my shoulders to him…

"Aaa yes I see… I guess we have to take a raincheck on starting a war…" Paul smiled at Kelly…

"you buffoons… don't scare me like that… faking being at war just so you can skip class…" Kelly looked firmly at us…

"sorry Headmistress Kelly. But it was true this morning and we were on lockdown. But they have straightened it out. Austin you should know better than to fight two wars at the same time…" Mia said hitting my shoulder…

"you are already at war?" Paul asked stunned…

"Aaa yes I forgot about them…" I said looking pondering up at the ceiling…

"you're at war and you're going to school at the same time…" Kelly asked stunned…

"well, it is more like a world war. And I am just gathering resources to fight them. So, I guess it is the starting face of war. Even if they already attacked first…" I said pondering about the Darkness…

they all stared at me for a little while before Mia sighed and slapped my shoulder again…

"words… use more words… why do I always have to remind you that they don't know who you are up against…" Mia pouted to me as she kept slapping my shoulder…

"sorry dear… Au… careful…" I gently took her hand and looked at it before I asked Mitch ho was giggling to close the door and have a seat as I gestured for them to sit down.

When everybody sat down I said that this information is restricted, and they were not allowed to share it. I told them about the goddesses plan to have me fight the darkness and that I was using the school as a research for means to defeat the darkness more efficiently. And they turned pale when I told them that the darkness covered more than half the world I did not specify that it was 80% of the world because I did not want them to… well faint on the spot…

Paul asked me if it was possible to win this war. I nodded but I told him that I needed more time to do my research and make sure the rest of the people don't go to war over my inventions. If that happened humanity would be lost if my prognoses were correct… even Mia looked pale at me when I said that..

"why did you not tell me sooner…" Mia asked me… I could see the fear in her eyes…

"because I did not have the means to win the war then… but now if I am able to get everything started… winning will be as easy as me planting a tree…" I smile to her and put my hand on her cheek.

"oh… okey." Mia cheered up smiling at me.

"how can you be so relaxed… Paul asked us…

"just wait until the tree ceremony, you will understand then." Mia giggled to him.

"um… yes about that… we did measure the town square… if we relocate 2 maybe 3 buildings it should fit…" Kelly said to Paul…

"how soon can you plant it then?" Paul asked me.

"well, I was thinking of making a statement about the war and the patent office when planting the tree. I just need to get the prototype ready. But if any larger group threatens the city I will plant it right away…" I grabbed the patent book and a speech from my bag and gave it to Paul…

Paul held the documents between Frida and himself so they both could read it. They both got larger and larger eyes they more they read the documents. After a little while they handed it over to Kelly smiling at me waiting for Kelly and Mitch to read it…

��oh my… that is brilliant… oh… you were serious about people not using the technology for war against other people…" Kelly said as she read the documents.

"how are you going to make sure that they don't use it for war purpose…" Mitch looked confused at me…

"well as long as I am alive. No country would have the means or power to oppose my rule on the subject. And if they chose to go to war with me i can easily defeat them even with my current power." I smiled awkward to him…

"um… yes about that. I read in the letter Telly and George sent that you were blessed… um… so if I gathered all my forces and had to fight you how long would you last…" Paul smirked at me…

"the fight would be over in 2 or 3 seconds I guess…" I smirked back…

"you would not last longer than 3 seconds?" Paul looked at me confused…

"no. your army would be knocked out in 3 seconds…" I stated to him… well between me and you if I used a spell to simulate the strongest bomb we had on my old planet the fight would take less than 1 second… but I don't want to be called Prince Armageddon…

After a little discussion with Paul, we was walking towards the school test room. He did not believe me, so I said I could show him a tiny bit of my power if Kelly agreed on it… she was excited, so she nodded smiling at us…

We arrived at Kelly's private testing room that was stronger than the students test room. She bragged that even if I were remotely capable of destroying her enchantments the test room was built away from the public and there was no one I could hurt… yep Mia had asked if it was a good idea to let me test my spells in such a small shooting range… I looked true the glass window and the room was huge, it looked like a big hallway… small was not the word I would use to describe the room…

Kelly open the door to the training room and said they would be watching from the window and explained that we could talk true the glass… I asked if the glass were secure… she told me that it had a strong barrier magic on both sides and it would be harder to break the glass then the wall…

I nodded to her and she walked to the other side of the glass making sure the door was shut on her way out… I took out the controller and gravity block. I placed the block in the circle and the block gave a flash signaling it was connected. I placed it down on the floor and took a few steps back.

I activated the tablet and pressed once on the up button. The stone vibrated for a second then it floated up in the air… it worked… it actually worked… this is the first time I have made something complex like this and it works… I fly around with the block for a few moments the battery did not drain, and it seemed to hold steady. I took my bag and tied the leach around the block. I hovered it above the ground and checked the battery… still not enuf weight to make the battery drain…

I grabbed the leash and held on and lifted my legs gently… it could hold me… I looked down at the ground… eh… this is awesome… maybe I should incorporate this into a broom and fly around like a witch… yes. I know I watch to many movies… it would be easier to implement it in my shoes…

I look up on the block and check the battery. No drain yet… I need a weight test on this to see how much it can lift… I let go and take my note pad and write down flying broom… I can make money out of it at least… I put the notebook back in my bag and untie it from the block. I deactivate the stone holding my hand out and it lands perfectly in my palm. I put the controller and block in my bag.

I turn and smile towards the glass… why are they looking so funny at me… I walk over and open the door… they still look at me stunned…

"Headmistress you don't happen to have an old broom you don't use?" I smiled at the stunned people looking at me…

Kelly nodded and took out a broom from the closet and handed it to me. I walk back in the testing room and lay the broom down on the ground… okey so I want to try it at least… pff you would do the same thing in my shoes…

I made a modified version of the controller and the block combined. But I have it to get the input directly from the brain… I worked for a couple of hours in the orb adding things like emergency pick up if you fall off, and slow brake so I don't slide of the handle… I sat it so it would stay 30 cm away from any surface when activated... I exit the orb and grab 3 mono stones. I place them on the center of the broom handle and used the mono molder to infuse the stones into the broom handle and cast the spells generator and battery on it, then I cast the spell Broom on it… don't… just don't say it…

I picked the broom up and mounted it like a horse… I feel stupid right now… I activates the broom and lift up my legs… as I look down I smile to myself… I lean forward and Wooohooo…

I fly around the training room doing loops and circles… for good measure I let go off the broom and I really had to make an effort to fall off… yes I added KPOS on it… Keep person onboard stabilizer… we all know I can be clumsy some times and if hoars training have though me anything, this was it…

As I fell down the broom shoot up speed towards me and made it, so I land gently back on… I fly over to the window hovering in the air smiling at the stunned audience. Mia was the only one who was jumping up and down clapping her hands smiling at me… I felt cool so I winked at her before I took off again… I am such a showoff… I blush flying away trying to see how fast I could go…

As I flew down the lang corridor I reached enuf speed to make my tears gather in my eyes, so I slowed down and started to fly back… on the way back I tried to go close to the wall, but my safety feature kicked in and pushed away like trying to push to magnets of the same polarity together…

Happy that all my features worked I took one leg back at the straw end of the broom and flew the last couple of meters with the broom vertically and stepped elegantly down when it came to a stop. I ended my flight with a bow to the stunned group on the other side of the glass…

Mia smiled from ear to ear and rushed out and embraced me with her arms and kissed me… I was so surprised and stunned so I ended up blushing red… Mia pulled herself away looking shocked at me she turned even more red then me… that was our first kiss…

I looked at Mia who was holding her lips with her hand looking stunned at what she had done… her cheeks was red, and she looked so cute… before I even though it true I kissed her gently on the cheek… she looked at me with her big blue eyes as she held her lip and her cheek looking at me stunned…

"thank you for believing in me…" I said in a sweet voice to her and smiled…

We heard Kelly cough and we turned and saw them looking at us true the glass… Yep. I totally forgot they were there after Mia kissed me… Paul was smiling wide at us, Frida and Lisa was biting there lip blushing… Kelly had her hand still at her mouth after coughing to us, but I saw she was blushing a little and was trying to hide her smile… Crap… I blushed a little, but I smiled from ear to ear…

We walked inside the glass room and watched Kelly fly around…

"why make a flying broom…" Lisa asked blushing a little…

I explained I needed to test several things like weight to lift ratio and range capabilities. She handed me the broom and said she would like one for herself if I could make one…

I nodded and said I could make her one, but I would like to run some more test first… I grabbed Frida's hand and smiled at her. She was about to say something, but I just dragged her out the door and activated the broom. She looked nervus so I explained the safety features to her and that the control panel would not go faster if she did not want it. I sat her gently down on the broom and let her get used to it. She tried lifting her feet holding my hand to see if it could hold her…

I walked around holding my hand next to were Frida was holding as I explained the different functions, when I saw she was paying attention to me explaining I gently let go of the broom and continued to walk as I talked and smiled to her…Mia came inside smiling and asked her how it felt to fly… Frida looked down and saw I was not holding on to the broom and got scared…

The broom stopped and hovered 30 cm from the ground… Frida looked at me and asked how long I had let go… I told her the truth that it was almost as soon as we started walking…

"you been flying this entire time Oma." Mia said to Frida…

"Oma?" I asked Mia…

"Oma is a nickname for grandma… was it wrong of me?" Mia said to me and looked over at Frida…

Frida gently got off the broom and walked over to Mia smiling and hugged her…

"no dear. you can call me Oma whenever you like…" Frida smiled and hugged her…

I saw aunty Lisa sneak up and jumped on the broom smirking… but her face turned sad when the broom did not move… Yep. I had anti-theft on it too…

"why don't it go…" Lisa looked at me confused…

"I have Anti-theft on it, so I need to give you permission to fly it." I giggle at her pouting at me…

"oh… that is smart. Can you limit the broom to only work on a solder too?" Paul walked out smiling…

"why would I give this to a solder?" I smirk at him…

"eh… well I was thinking about making a squadron of scouts for fighting the dark beast." Paul explained…

"you know. even I cannot protect you from the goddess if you use it from other means the fighting the darkness…" I smirk at him…

"I know… but if you are going to sell these to the public we are going to need someone to keep them in check…" Paul smiled to me…

"fine… I can build in a feature of that allow the guards to stop the broom on command. But there will be rules on those guards too…" I explain to him.

"Austin… can I try the broom now…" Lisa pouted to me…

"yes Aunty sorry for making you wait…" I smile to Lisa…

I touch the broom handle and Lisa smile to me and took off flying… Paul asked me if he could try it to afterwards. I told him yes and smiled to him. Kelly asked me about the technical aspect and if I could make anything fly… I told her that I needed time to test it more to learn about the carry capacity and battery capacity… Kelly asked if she could borrow it for a few days and said she would happily run some tests on it for me… I smiled and nodded to her.
