*Loral*
Quickly, I weighed my options. I knew that if I went to dinner with Liam, he would ask about my fighting skills. I didn’t have answers for him… yet.
There was no logical excuse, and I didn’t think I could tell him the truth. Liam hadn’t exactly been the most approachable person since the first night we met in this life.
I glanced at Rex. He blinked, a gesture I recognized to mean that he had no opinion either way and didn’t consider it a dangerous situation.
“Your Highness, Mr. William Jackson got his name cleared today. It is a victory for us both and his freedom should be celebrated. It would be a great honor if you joined me,” Liam pressed.
I sighed inwardly. Now, if I refused, I’d seem like a total jerk. Sooner or later, I would have to come up with an answer for Liam. I doubted this was something he would let go.
“Alright, I’ll join you for dinner. What did you have in mind?” I asked.
