In the past, Alexander Summers was very busy.
So busy that often he wouldn't be seen for days on end, and for this, he had to lie to Atra Blanc, claiming he was on a business trip out of town.
On the rare occasions he did come back for a few days, it was already quite special, let alone now when he had nothing to do but accompany Purple Summers with her winter break homework—it was as if the sun had risen from the west.
Alexander Summers brushed aside the hair on her face and said, "I will be very idle in the future."
"Why?" Purple Summers asked.
"Several great-uncles in the family are preparing a grand retirees meeting for me," Alexander Summers played with a strand of her hair, finding it cool, smooth, and soft, quite amusing.
Purple Summers, puzzled, asked, "What is a retirees meeting?"
