“You are the most resilient man I know. What you went through for me and because of me cannot be taken lightly and I am so glad that you chose me.”

“That sounds very nice sweetheart. I am sure the rest of your vows are going to be as honest and beautiful.”

Kris sighed and glanced out the kitchen window. Gary was doing sprints on the beach.

His shirtless body was glistening in the afternoon sun and Kris loved the way his shorts hung off his hips, revealing the slightest bit of-

“Kris, are you there?”

Deidre’s voice called her back to the conversation she was supposed to be having about her wedding.

“I’m sorry mom. What did you say?”

Deidre chuckled, “Is Gary there with you?”

Kris’s face flamed. “No!”

“Haha, ok... I was saying, everything else you needed from the wedding planner arrived yesterday, so when you arrive tomorrow, I don’t want you to worry. I will pick you both up from the airport and then we’ll get you settled.”
