The Entrance Exams

[The knight climbs a stage with his sword in his scabbard]

Knight: Hello everyone, I'm Sir Galen Silverthorn and I'm here to tell you the reason you are still standing outside the academy. Well, as you all know this is the best academy for upcoming knights in this world. Therefore, many people want to enroll here but the authorities of the academy have a maximum number of students who are to be enrolled every year. Every year, 100 students are picked and some come here on recommendations...

Liam: Recommendations?

Sir Galen: ...and this year 25 students have already been enrolled on recommendation. Meaning, 75 students are remaining to be enrolled here. Now, to avoid any bias or wrong pick of students, the authorities have made an entrance exams to help us know the students to accept.

[Liam and Dylan where trying to understand what Sir Galen had said]

Liam: Recommendation huh? So meaning those students are exceptionally powerful.

Dylan: Yes I you are right Liam. So they are just going to pick only 75 of us huh?  There are about 200 people here, meaning 125 people will have to go somewhere else.

Liam: Yep...at least that will reduce the number of people in the academy, so I think is a great idea

Dylan: What if you don't make it?

Liam: That's not gonna happen

Dylan: Lets hope so

[Thoughts]: Is he even that strong? Well he doesn't look like! Anyways, never judge a book by it's cover

[Sir Galen ready to give them the outline of their entrance exams]

Sir Galen: Now listen up! This is how your entrance exams is gonna be. You all will enter a gate which will be open by using magic, and as you enter, you will face challenges in order to earn points. The higher your points, the higher your chance of getting into the academy. As you all go through the gate, you all will be sent to different place but your exit is the same. Lastly, for the last challenge in the gate you go through, without knowledge you will lose but not die. Maybe you will die, also you will be sent to different places alright but the obstacles are the same. So get ready to start.  

[All the people got ready to start their entrance exams]

Dylan: Good luck dude

Liam: Yeah, you too. Make it back alive okay?... you will be useful [Said undertone]

Dylan: I will

[An woman appeared out of no where]

Woman: Hello my little ones. I am the one and only Mystica Moonstone. I will open the gate for you all to pass through

Boy: Mystica Moonstone! She is the best  and most powerful witch in the academy and in the Zone

Mystica: You are right darling... the only powerful witch [smiles]

Liam: I see...she must be really strong then. Hope I get a chance to fight her one day

Mystica: Now get ready!

[She casts a spell to make the gate appear and open]

Mystica: Time to go now...byee. Try your best to survive [Giggles]

[Everyone runs into the opened gate while Liam placed his hands in his pocket and walked in like there was nothing to  care about]

Sir Galen: That last kid got my attention, I want to see how he will handle the obstacles

Mystica: Yeah me too... plus, he is soo hot

Sir Galen: Get it together woman, you are older than him

Mystica: So what? Maybe he has taste for older women

Sir Galen: Whatever, let's see how they do!

Mystica: Yep

[Mystica use her magic to create something that would be used to watch to kids and see how they perform and give them points]

Liam: So this is the place I was sent to!...hah![disappointed]

This place reminds me of the dark forest, more like when I entered. Nothing like what is inside!

[Liam continued walking and suddenly realized something]

Liam: I think I forgot take my sword. I can't go for it now, the gate is closed anyway  Well thats not really my problem

[A beast appeared out of no where to attack Liam]

Liam: Huh?

[He used his dark magic to create a sword and used it to cut through the beast abdomen with ease]

Liam: Is this an obstacle? Pathetic!

[Mystica and Sir Galen were shocked with what they saw]

Sir Galen: Did he just kill that thing with a single swing?

Mystica: You are not blind are you? So get the answer to that yourself

Sir Galen: That is one of the strongest we have and he just killed it with a single swing.

Mystica: Well kids these days are growing so fast aren't they?

[Just after Liam killed the first beast more began to appear]

Liam: Looks like I'm gonna enjoy myself after all.

[Thoughts]: They look different, and stronger than the previous one

Liam:[Grins] Shall we begins

[Dashes and start to cut all the beasts one by one. Beheading them, cutting them through the abdomen and more. He went very fast and he enjoyed every  swing he made]

Liam: Well that was fun. Hope I get more of them on this path

[He made the sword disappear and continued walking with his hands in his pocket. He met more on his way and killed every single one of them without hesitation]

Liam: Well looks like I'm getting close to the exit. If this is all the challenge then this people are pathetic. Wait, the old man said someone about the last challenge being difficult, thus, if your knowledge is not high enough....so, meaning I should expect something to happen soon.

[As Liam was thinking, an unknown creature started to rise out from the ground]

Liam: Ahh, there it is! But what is that anyway?

[As the creature came out completely, Liam now knew what is was]

Liam: Of course, it will be a Sphinx. Known for it's wisdom and knowledge. Well this is gonna be easy but for those who actually fail to answer his questions may die after all. Hahaha, this is gonna be fun huh?

[The Sphinx stood straight and started talking]

Sphinx: Who dares to pass here?

Liam: Liam Hunter

Sphinx: What is your purpose to pass this path?

Liam: Just to complete this pathetic challenge

Sphinx: Well then,you have to answer three questions before your can pass!

Liam: Alright then!

Sphinx: One, I have cities but no houses, I have forest but no trees, I have rivers but no water. What am I?

Liam: Okay!... Well I believe your are a map

Sphinx: Correct. Two, the more I take, the more I leave behind. What am I?

Liam: Easy! Footstep

Sphinx: Correct again, three, I speak without mouth and hear without ears. I have no body, but I come alive with wind. What am I?

Liam: I see, no mouth, no ears and no body yet come alive when the wind is around huh? Oh, got it.... an echo

Sphinx: Correct. You are the first to answer all my riddles so far, you have my respect

Liam: Well thank you Sphinx

Sphinx: You may pass

Liam: Thanks, see you some other time

[Liam walk out the same way he walked in. He came out to see some of the people who had finished their exams]

Liam[Thoughts]: So these guys are done already? Well the exams was kinda disappointing so I get it. But why are they looking at me like that? I got something on my face? Anyways whatever

[He walks on and looks for shade to sit. 5 minutes later everyone had completed the exams and it was now time for Sir Galen and Mystica to announce those who were to be accepted into the academy]

Sir Galen: I believe you all are done, therefore it is time to announce the 75 people going to accepted here. Depending on the scores here, the first person is Liam Hunter

Most of the crowd: What? Him?

Girl: He didn't even take his sword along with him yet he was first

Mystica: Yes darling! He was the only one to eliminate all enemies on his path and anwered all the Sphinx riddles. So he scored all the marks

[Thoughts]: He is hot and strong as well, mmmmmm, my spec [smirks]

Dylan: Turns out he is more powerful than he looks[said undertone]

Sir Galen: And in second place, Asher Hawthorne

[Liam opened one eye to see who Sir Galen just called]

Liam: So, he was behind me huh? I wonder what made him second but not first. Maybe the riddles did. Ah! Whatever

[All them 75 students were mentioned and now the rest had to go home]

Sir Galen: For those who were not mentioned, I'm sorry but you are not weathy of this place. All the same, you all did well. Good luck on your journeys.  Now those of you who were accepted here listen closely, now you are a student of the dark knight academy so behave like one. Now you carry your goods with you and go through the gate of the academy. You will see some gentlmen and ladies waiting to take you to your various rooms. Each of them are assigned to one student and that is done by your positions. They will be Holding numbers from 1to 75, so you walk to them if you see your number. For the classes you be kept in will be talked about to tomorrow but I'll  talk about it a little. The classes here are from A to D and you are placed in each class depending how good you are, so if you end up in a class you don't like,may the gods be with you to make a difference. Also there will be not special treatment for anyone here put that in mind.

Mystica: Except for the royalties and if your are a friend of theirs, you can have special treatment but not as good as their treatment. So good luck my little darlings and welcome to Dark Knight Academy

Liam[Thoughts]: Now that was some annoying talk I'm tired all I want is a nap

Sir Galen: Now you may go

[They walked in and saw all what Sir Galen said. They were all directed to their rooms and the keys to their rooms were given to them as well]

Liam: Wow! So this is apparently where I will be staying for my three years in this academy. Well at least it one room - one student so this is awesome

[Liam arranged his belongings well in the room even though it wasn't much]

Liam: I think thats all. Now about the money, what am I gonna use it for anyway because I'm sure the school will provide most of the things we need. So I think I will keep it in case of any crisis.

[Liam finally got the nap he wanted. He woke up after dusk]

Liam: Wow! I haven't slept like that in years [stretching]   So now, time to analyse. I think this is the block for the first years, meaning the second and third years have different blocks as well. There are hundred rooms in total, and I'm sure the girl's rooms are at the top. Well the building has 4 floors for the students and a down floor for the workers. Anyways, this room is big or all other rooms are the same? It might be. Looks like it has everything, where to bath, where to relax like everything I personally will need. I don't know about rest but this is great. With all this, I'm sure they will expect more from us. Now I think I should step out a little besides I don't feel anyones presences outside

[He steps out and walks around the school]

Liam: Damn! The school is really big. How did it take them to finish this?

[He stops walking]

Liam[Thoughts]: There is someone close! Strong, but still pathetic. A she? Well thats surprising, she is very close

[Suddenly Liam was attacked by a rushing ice wave]

Liam[Thoughts]: Ice?

[He quickly uses his flames ability to melt it completely but it turned into water and moved around him to trap him in it]

Liam: That's new

[As he was trapped in water, he held his breath and saw a female figure standing there looking at him]

Liam[Thoughts]: I see! Hmm[smirks]

[He uses his teleportation magic to leave the water and appear right infront of the female]

Female[Thoughts]: Buh how? How did he escape? No one has done that before.

Liam: Don't bother trying to figure out how I did it! Now care to tell me what your problem is? Why did you attack me?

Female: Well I thought you were a threat? The energy I sensed  from you was strong

Liam: Well sorry, I'm sure you attacked the wrong guy[smiles]

Female: No I'm certain it was you!

Liam: I'm one of the weakest person here you know! Just look me!

Female[Thoughts]: He looks like a nobody. Wait! He energy is low as hell. He is right, his not the one I sensed earlier

Female: I'm sorry for the trouble

Liam: Don't worry, it's fine by the way I'm Liam[Stretches his hand]

Female: What are you doing?[Annoyed] I'm a princess, I can't shake you!

Liam: Oh sorry then

Female: Anyways, I'm Sheila Crescent

Liam: Oh okay...princess of the Ice Kingdom in Zone 1 right?

Sheila: Yes! So I believe you know me

Liam: Nope! Only your Kingdom. There's no need in knowing you

Sheila: You bast- [Takes a deep breath]

See you later low life!

[She walks away]

Liam: I'm sure she is part of those recommended students, definitely she is a princess after all. Also has great power, but how did she turn Ice into water? I thought their Kingdom had only ice and light magic users. Or she is like me? Hahaha, I'm gonna enjoy my stay here a lot. Time to go, tomorrow, it all begins

[Grins and walks back to his room]
