A New Ally?

After finding out what the kid went through, had to act like he didn't know the truth to be able to get revenge. Harold knew that the kid in front of him could also help him, His grandson would need powerful allies in the future.

So getting on the good side of this kid would be for the best since he can already tell that this kid's technique already out classed most adventurers which can result in him killing most of them if they choose to look down on him.

"I see, well I will try to help you as best as I can. From helping you in training to helping you get revenge on your family. I probably can't teach you much on how to fight human opponents. I can teach you the techniques you need to kill monsters bigger and more powerful than you. In return I only ask you to help my grandson if he ever needs it in the future." Harold said, giving his offer to Grey.

Smiling, I agreed to the deal with Harold. This deal helps me more than it does him, this will help me with a jump start in my adventuring career but I will also have support in taking revenge on my family. All of this for just helping some kid making sure he doesn't die or offend the wrong person, this is simple enough.

"Deal, in the future I should meet your grandson so I can get to know him. I don't want to have a misunderstanding between us when I try to help him. But besides that everything should be good." I said with a smile happy with how things are going.

"Sure, I could make that happen. Probability won't be for a while since you will have the annual noble greeting in a couple of months but I also need to make sure I get your fathers approval in taking you out of the estate. I will think of something, well let's get to training." said Harold.

And like that we start our training. It was tiring at first but luckily with the gamers body I was able to regain my stamina quickly after a couple of rests. In this short amount of time I had learned a lot, this got me thinking that if I learn this much in this short amount of time I can't wait to see how much I will learn in a couple years.

2 hours have passed and our training has ended. I decided to keep practicing making sure I have everything memorized and it becomes like second nature to me. The afternoon rolled around and I was still training. Still wanting to practice but knowing that I would get in trouble if I don't show up for lunch, I set down my sword and head to the dining room.

After having lunch I went up stairs and took a shower to get all the sweat off my body. It was almost time for my family's action house to start so I needed to make sure I looked presentable or my parent's would kill me.

Getting dressed I head down stairs and I see my father standing by the door waiting for me so I could pick my second present for my birthday. Arriving in front of my father I greeted him before we left for the auction house.

I Arrived in front of a maroon building with 4 white pillars in front of it. The pillars connected to the roof of the building, to make sure the front walkway was dry on rainy days. There were 2 guards in front of a double door greeting people and making sure that they were supposed to be there. The building itself was huge, it could easily fit 4 football fields inside it.

Walking to the front doors, the guards immediately bowed to us and opened the door to let us inside. Once inside I looked around and saw a red carpet that went forward then split off in opposite directions. The carpet surrounded the receptionist table and one end of the carpet led to stairs going up while the other led to stairs going down.

One the main floor there were 4 tables and 4 chairs per table on each side of the carpet before it split apart. There were other doors presumingly for the workers to take a break and to the storage room.

Following my father we indeed went to one of the doors that connected to the storage room. Once inside I see the whole line up of what is going to be sold at the auction today. There was a variety of items, from beast cores to beast hides, some scrolls and books, and armour to weapons.

Looking at every single one of them while using [magic sense] and [search] to see if there is anything unexpected with magical properties or something that caught my fathers eye that could be something good to pick.

After looking at each and every single piece that was being offered I came across 3 unique items. 1 is a seemingly normal cane, but it has some magical properties to it. I didn't have enough time to look at it closely to figure out exactly what is enchanted on the because I could tell my father was getting impatient. He didn't want me wasting too much time causing the auction to start late but also not wanting me to pick something without carefully deciding on something that could end up being junk.

The second item is a sword made out of adamantite which has some inscriptions on the blade which means [fire], [shape], and [repair]. There was also a brand of a dragon on the hilt of the blade. I can only assume the blade will shape perfectly to the user of the sword, can summon fire out of the blade and it can repair itself.

The last item was an ore that I am not familiar with. Looking at it and the tag on it, it seems like a very rare ore that was just discovered. Even though it hasn't been tampered with as far as I can see with my magic activated, the ore is emanating some mysterious magic out of itself.
