The O'Brien's soon to be daughter-in-law

"Don't worry Grandpa, I'm stronger than I look".

I said with a smile on my face I was hoping that would calm him down and it seemed like it worked.

"Grandpa"?

Derrick called, looking at his phone and grandpa turned to look at him and I let go of his hand.

"What is it"?

He asked as Derrick didn't speak again.

"I think you all need to see this".

He said still looking at his phone.

I tilted my head gently as though that alone would help me see what he was talking about.

"What, what is it"?

Grandpa asked again and moved towards his grandson. When he got close to him, he collected the phone and began watching whatever it was that Derrick was watching. He then looked at me with a brow raised and went back to looking at his phone.

Soon after, Grandpa gave Derrick the phone back and went upstairs without saying a word and so did Jason's dad.

I knew the video had something to do with me but I didn't know what it was all about.

When the two eldest men had left, Derrick showed me the video.

"It appears someone took the video of what happened in the hospital".

Derrick said as he showed it to me.

The video started from when I and the doctor were hanging by the rooftop. It looked like it was taken by someone on the ground level. I then went ahead to read the heading.

"JUST IN: THE O'BRIEN'S SOON TO BE DAUGHTER-IN-LAW SAVES A DOCTOR".

"That is one hell of a heading".

I said and looked at Derrick.

"How did they get to know that Jason and I are dating"?

I asked and he pointed back to the phone. The video went all the way to when Jason came up and saved both me and the doctor.

My mouth opened as I exclaimed

"Ahh"

I guess that was how they figured it out but regardless, it would be crazy to assume I was dating him just because he saved us.

"According to the article, the person who took the video said they heard mom saying nothing should happen to her daughter".

Derrick said and I looked at Mrs O'Brien.

"Mom? You said that"?

I asked and looking back at me, she replied with a question.

"Is that wrong"?

She asked and I smiled.

"Now who is the cute one"?

I said and she smiled.

"Are you trying to tease me"?

"I'm just being honest".

I said. It had been a long day and I was feeling tired so I excused myself and went to my room.

Because of the cast on my hand, I couldn't really move freely. I didn't bother to get changed and just laid on the bed to rest.

I had closed my eyes when I heard the door open. When I opened it, I saw Jason leaning on the door.

I smiled and sat up while he walked towards me.

"I'm beginning to get jealous you know"?

He said and I raised my brow as I did not understand what he was trying to say.

"What do you mean"?

I asked hoping he'd explain a little more.

"Your relationship with my mom. I'm beginning to get jealous"?

I couldn't help but look at him in bewilderment and I began laughing really hard. I was not expecting him to say that so it felt really funny to me.

"Why would that make you jealous"?

He came closer and sat next to me on the bed.

"You are free with her than you are with me".

"Is that so"?

I asked like I was talking to a baby. He then moved closer.

"With that being said..."

He paused for a while and said.

"Should we... end the contract"?

Jason was not sure of how she'd feel about this. He wanted to be with her for real because if he was not sure about anything, he was definitely sure about his feelings for her.

I stood still just looking at him. I was not expecting him to say that.

'Is he finally tired of me? He finally wants me to leave'?

I said in my mind.

"I want to be with you Nadia. I'm very sure about how I feel. When I'm with you... I don't have to worry or think about anything else. I... I love you, Nadia".

He said and this was even harder to take in. I already knew he liked me because he had said it before. And I knew my thoughts earlier was just me being anxious but still, how could a man like this be in love with a girl like me?

Nadia remained speechless but what she did not know was that her actions were actually making someone else very nervous.

Jason was about to get up and leave when he heard her speak.

"Do you really mean that"?

She asked and he looked at her and smiled.

"Mnn".

That was all he said before he got a hug from Nadia.

"I want to be with you too... for a very... very long time".

She said. Jason could hear the joy and underlined worry in her voice.

He already knew she was someone who had had to go through so much and it was probably hard for her to trust anyone. Even her parents had deceived her all her life.

He hugged her back, wrapping his hands around her tiny waist.

He knew he had a lot of work to do so that she could finally trust him but knowing that she was now his made him so happy, it was hard for him to control his happiness.

Melissa was in a jacuzzi thinking of the perfect time to call Jason's dad when Phoebe called her.

"What is it"?

He asked after the phone rang twice.

"I sent you a message, check it now!!"

She said and ended the call. Melissa looked at her phone and nonchalantly opened her messages. She noticed it was a link so she clicked it and the first thing she saw made her adjust her sitting posture.

"JUST IN: THE O'BRIEN'S SOON TO BE DAUGHTER-IN-LAW SAVES A DOCTOR".

She watched the video and she began to vibrate in anger.
