Dad is fine

"Hello? Hello? Are you there"?

I asked but then, the line suddenly disconnected. I didn't know what to do. I was a bit confused and scared that something must have happened to him. I began dialing his number over and over again but to no avail.

I was scared to my bones But after about 30 minutes, I heard some noise downstairs and decided to go check. When I got there, it was Grandpa, Jason, his dad, and his brother Derrick. It appeared that they had finally gotten home.

A sudden rush of peace poured all over my body and I heaved a sigh of relief as soon as I saw his face.

I went downstairs to welcome them back but of the reason, I did not say hi to Jason.

Jason was confused as to why Nadia did not say anything to him and totally ignored him. She seemed to be angry and the thought of that alone did not sit well with him.

After saying my greetings, I immediately left for my room.

Jason followed Nadia into the room worried that something had gone wrong. He was extremely excited about what she had said over the phone so he did not understand why she was acting this way.

As soon as Jason got into the room to figure out what had happened, Nadia embraced him with a very tight hug.

He was confused at first but it didn't take time before he placed his face on the nook of her neck and hugged her back just as much.

I didn't know why I ignored him only to hug him soon after and I didn't know why I didn't want to let him go but one thing is for sure, I most definitely do care about him, a lot.

"Don't scare me like that again".

I said still hugging him. He gently let go of me and looked at me.

"What do you mean? How did I scare you"?

He asked.

"You suddenly stopped talking over the phone. I thought something had happened to you and tried calling back but you weren't picking up, and... and... and..."

I was still trying to speak up when I noticed that he held my face gently and placed his soft lips on mine. This time around, my eyes did not open wide. I was not expecting it but it felt like my entire being wanted it.

Placing my hands around his neck while he went down to my waist, my lips parted as he went deeper. This time around, it was not just a peck on the lip. Our lips kept moving in rhythms and sounds that I didn't think I could make began coming out of my mouth.

It was weird because the only thing he did was kiss me. He wasn't doing anything else, yet, I couldn't help the tingling sensation I was feeling deep within myself.

Jason didn't think she'd let him kiss her. He felt she was going to push him away as soon as he tried anything but to his utmost surprise, it felt like she was the one instigating it. It felt like she actually wanted him as much as he wanted her and that alone, made him want to have her even more.

With his hands still placed on her waist, he gently led her towards the bed.

I didn't know what was happening until I felt my back on the bed. He stopped kissing me and looked at me with a gentle and assuring face.

"You good"?

He asked shortly but I couldn't reply. He was on top of me but I could not feel his weight at all since he used his hand to support his weight. Even though I couldn't feel his weight, I still felt like I could not breathe.

Just looking into his eyes made me breathless. I don't know how he does it but he definitely makes me helpless.

Before I met him, I used to abuse those female leads I see on TV shows that become helpless just because of a man. But now, I finally understood that it wasn't just any man, it was the only man that could ever make them act that way.

"Nadia"?

"Mnn"?

He called and that was the only thing that could come out of my mouth.

"I love you".

He said and my heart began beating so fast, not in fear though. They were beating in confirmation. Confirmation that this was the male lead that has succeeded in taking my heart completely.

"I... I lo..."

"Ahhhh!!!!"

I was about to speak when we heard someone yell. We immediately stood up and rushed downstairs.

"What's wrong"?

Jason asked and soon enough, every other person was out of their rooms as well.

"It's... It's the chairman, he's not breathing".

The maid who had found Grandpa said and we immediately rushed to his garden to check on him as that was where we saw the maid coming out from.

"Quick, call an ambulance".

Jason's dad said and Jason immediately called one.

We rushed Grandpa O'Brien to the hospital and the doctor said they'd have to do an emergency surgery.

It was supposed to be in two days but because of how drastically his health had deteriorated, they decided to do it immediately. If not, we might lose him.

Time was moving pretty slowly as we still didn't get any sign of the surgery being over. A couple of nurses rushed in and out in intervals but the one we wanted to see had not come out yet.

About five hours had passed when we finally saw the surgery sign go off, meaning it was over.

The doctor soon came out but he said nothing serious and just asked to see Grandpa's next of kin.

Jason's dad went with the doctor while the rest of us patiently waited for him to come back.

After a few minutes, he was finally back and we all rushed to hear what the doctor said.

"Dad is fine".

He said making all of us sigh in relief.
