Theo's POV:
Even though I had mentally prepared for this moment a lot of times in my head, the reality was difficult to keep up. He killed my love!
And it sucks that I can't confront him about that. I touched my sheath and felt the cold dead rock stone. I let the rock suck out my energy—just to keep my mind blank.
Everyone in the courtroom stood up from their seats as the lame king walked to his throne. I got up from my seat, too, for the sake of not blowing up my cover.
Oberon's long golden cape had a symbol of the blazing sun in it, and it was sweeping the ground behind him as he walked.
His cape stopped brushing the ground as he stopped in his tracks when he reached my spot. Then he glanced to my side and frowned at me skeptically. I tried hard to keep my face calm while I was staring at his deep blue eyes.
Then his gaze turned to Ivory. Finally, he looked at Samuel, who was standing in between us.
