Hiding from him

One look,Aurora identified the little boy with the paper,his black hair was ruffled and he had a stern frown on his face as always.

It was Mateo and she couldn't help but gasp,

She moved back a little still staring at the picture when she hit something hard,

She turned her gaze to see Mateo behind,

"How?"she stared back at the picture.

Mateo furrowed his brows,

"What wrong?"

he didn't know what got her worried,

"You...you are here"she pointed out to the picture and Mateo noticed his younger self.

First person to actually see him in the picture,

He turned to her,his brows more furrowed,

"What are you?"he asked,

She didn't know what he was on about,she was waiting for some explanation on how the person in the frame looked so much like him but it seemed she was right and indeed it was.

"What are you hiding?"she asked softly,

He stared deeply in her eye,his face had a frown on.

"Seems you are indeed special youngster"he smiled a little.

She didn't understand his words and her head seemed to spin a lot.

"Do you trust me?"Mateo came closer to her,

She stared at him before nodding,she didn't know why she trusted him.she knew she liked him but trusting him was something she didn't know she did,he was someone she didn't know much of and he seems to have deep secrets and yet she trusted him.

"Meet me in the library tomorrow,I need some tutoring"he smiled and left her space.

"Aurora"aunt Sarah called,

She turned to Mateo before turning to her aunt.

"What are you doing here?"aunt Sarah questioned with a suspicious glance,

"Just curious on the house"she smiled warmly and the woman turned to Mateo who just gave her a nod before leaving their side.

Aurora stared at his back watching him leave,

"Let go in"aunt Sarah concluded before leaving.

Aurora was surprised aunt Sarah hadn't question her more even though she knew the woman had her suspicion.

"Rora"aunt Sarah had a stern look on,

Aurora looked at the woman,the woman had sent for her making her wonder what she had in mind.

"Don't get involved with Mateo"

The woman moved closer to her,she touched her face,

"He is a good one,I know that even though most people look at his bad sides,he has always been there for Peter when Gavin left"

She was talking about her husband,

Aurora smiled a little,she wished she could tell her aunt that she was already involved with him.

"It will be best for you"the woman added and smiled.

Aurora just stared at the woman,

"I won't"she reassured the woman hoping she would keep her promise.

Aurora avoided Mateo all day thanking her stars she didn't run into him,she was trying to stay away from him and knowing if she met him,she won't be able to stay away.

Aurora had forgotten about her meeting with Mateo and didn't show up.

She felt anxious on how she had easily avoided him all day and they didn't meet,she thought if he was absent from school today and didn't attend his classes.

Seating on her bed while contemplating,her phone rang.

She saw the caller it was Mateo,her heart startled.

She ignored the call,she felt nervous.

Suddenly she felt someone at her window,

Scared and stunned,she walked slowly to her window and opened to see Mateo had climbed through her window.

"Open for me"he stated seeing how she she stood staring at him.

She allowed him in and he jumped smoothly.

"How,why?!"she was stunned on her he climbed through her window so effortlessly.

"I told you to meet me and you didn't"he frowned

She knew how she had tried avoiding him all day and yet he seem to stop her movements.

"Did I do something wrong?"he asked noticing her look,

"No!"aurora immediately replied,she didn't want him to think it's his fault.

"I just don't think we should be seeing each other"she declared,

Mateo frowned,he didn't know what had gone wrong.

"Is that what you really want?"he asked staring deeply in her eye,his eyes filled with emotions that Aurora had to shift her gaze cause his looks were giving her a weird feeling in her head.

"Yes,can you leave now"

She ran to her window,she didn't think making him pass through there was good but already seeing his actions,she knew he would be just fine.

Mateo didn't seem happy hearing her,

He brought out some old papers from his Jean pocket and dropped it on her bed.

"Found some things about your mom,check them out and go to the library for more past things"

He stated and jumped out from the window,Aurora turned to the papers on her bed and turned to see Mateo was gone.

She sighed thinking if she made the right decision.

Staring at the papers in her hands,which includes her mom's date of birth,places she worked and stayed in.

Her mom had done lot of things in her years in north Morsvil.

She saw photos of her mom's ex lover which had never occurred to her that her mom once loved someone before her dad when all she spoke about was her dad and how her father was her first love.

Something strange caught her eye,in the back of her mom's birth certificate,it was said that her mom was born in stally's hospital when she had been told a different hospital.

Aurora frowned seeing it thinking if it was a mistake.

She didn't exactly know why Mateo had brought these for her and she still didn't know how he was found in an old picture.

"Aunt"Aurora called the woman who busied herself cutting her steaks.

Aurora had been worried seeing those pictures that she knew she had to ask aunt Sarah.

"Yes dear"aunt Sarah glanced at her direction,

She smiled a little,

"Aunt,where is my mom's birth place?"she asked,

Aunt Sarah frowned before smiling,

"Curious,you want to know more about your mom's childhood?"

"Yes aunt"she replied hopefully.
