Losing Hope

She left...

Just one look inside her eyes. That's all it took for my heart to break. The pain in her eyes was enough to make me hate the day that was supposed to be the happiest day of my life. She is my life and the moment she ran out that door was the moment my life was abruptly taken away from me.

I can't believe that out of all the days we've been together, her memories returned today. When did God become so cruel? I can't say I wasn't expecting this. I knew that one day her memories would come back to her and that she would be sad. But... I just had a shrivel of hope that when it happened we'd be happily married for a long time; that she would be able to forgive my horrid act because she would know who I really am. Because then she wouldn't be as hard to persuade as she is now. Now all I can do is wait and hope.
