These last few years

It's been a few days since the attack on Kana, the wound on that girl's neck was treated regularly and started to heal. As before, Kana and Damian live out their days peacefully and their relationship deepens. Kana remained silent even though no one in the house explained about the continuation of Lilia's case, according to her, she would surely be informed when the time came.

If you do the math, their marriage has been going on for more than 2 weeks and the day Kana starts the new semester is getting closer.

"Darling, if you're bored just invite the servants and bodyguards to play as usual," Damian said when he saw his wife just rolling around on the bed available in the handsome man's study.

"I don't know what to play anymore and my stomach hurts, so I'm lazy," Kana said in a weak tone.

Damian, who heard his wife's stomach hurt, immediately got up from his desk, "where does it hurt? It hurts a lot? I'll call the doctor, OK?" the man said worriedly.

"No need, it's normal to have a stomachache like this." Kana refused. She is menstruating and she is usually always sick at that time.

"What's normal? If you feel sick, of course, you have to call a doctor, honey," protested Damian who was now embracing Kana's body from behind on the bed.

" There's no need, Damian. This is a pain that has happened many times. " Kana was embarrassed to say that she was on her period, her relationship with Damian had not reached a point where she could talk about intimate parts without shame.

"Illness that has happened frequently? Are you chronically ill? How long has it been going on? I am more and more confident about calling the doctor, if necessary we will go to the hospital for a check-up."

" It's not chronic pain. It happens every month because I'm having my period, do you understand? We can be laughed at by people just because of menstruation to the hospital." Kana hissed with her face down on her husband's chest in embarrassment.

"Ah... I-I see. O-of course I understand em..." Damian cleared his throat a few times because he was nervous, knowing that women are very sensitive and their anger levels increase rapidly. So he had to be careful not to irritate his wife.

"Damn, because Kana is already living with me, it makes me forget about the monthly cycle that I usually pay attention to when she's still out there," thought Damian.

"Then there is something you want to eat?" asked the man with a sexy voice.

Kana shook her head, "I don't want anything at the moment."

"Alright, then just wait a moment." Damian's well-built body got up from the bed and walked out.

The kitchen section looked excited by Damian's presence there, they all wondered what was wrong until their Master went straight to the kitchen.

Lily approached the man who was struggling in the kitchen after driving people out of the kitchen, "what did you do to cause a commotion in the kitchen, Master?" she asked.

"Kana's period," Damian answered briefly. His hands focused on chopping mint leaves and occasionally his sharp eyes glanced at the ginger water stew, making Lily understand what this man was doing.

"Mint tea?" guessed Lily who was answered with a nod by Damian.

" Won't Kana get suspicious after she drinks this? The same drink every time she has her period, the same taste, for years, Master."

"Sooner or later, Kana will know," Damian said casually.

"Lilia said, isn't Kana going to..." Lily hung up her words for fear that the Master would be offended.

"Feel disgusted and scared?" continued Damian, the middle-aged woman who nodded faintly.

"It's possible, but shouldn't I just lock her up here? Kana won't be able to leave my side, ever."

Lily was silent looking at her Master who always looks scary when it comes to Kana's problems. Inwardly, the middle-aged woman felt extreme regret because of this. This is still a mystery to this day.

"Even when I lock her up later you intend to help her escape, you won't be able to, mother-in-law," Damian said with a mocking smile, making Lily shudder in fear and annoyance at being called mother-in-law.

"Don't call me that, ridiculous." Lily hissed.

"Just accept the facts." chuckled Damian which made Lily even more annoyed.

Damian put the tea he made on the tray, he planned to bring it directly to Kana. Before leaving the kitchen, he pointed at the ginger stew he had made earlier, "in about 3 hours, reheat this ginger and adds milk, then give it to my wife."

The Chef and maids nodded, they already knew what day it was. Their Madam's Day had her period. Damian looked at the Chef and the maids who had tense faces and then remembered his wife's words, 'be gentle with the people around us, Damian'

Damian cleared his throat softly, "thank you for your hard work" after saying that his feet immediately stepped away. The feeling was a bit strange after saying thank you.

Everyone in the kitchen stifled their surprised screams until Damian came up the stairs.

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH HIM?" they shouted almost simultaneously. Their hearts were touched, their master was the first time like this. The expression on his face that was usually stiff and scary this time looked a little nervous when he was about to thank them.

"It must be because of Madam. " some people said confidently.

"Of course, it must be because of our kind-hearted madam, she is always grateful for the things we do for her, no matter how small and insignificant," shouted the maids.

Lily, who had been there smiling a little, turned out to be that Kana had grown into a good girl even without the presence of her parents. Repeatedly the middle-aged woman who still looks beautiful like a woman in her 30s gives thanks in her heart to see Kana's really good character growth.

Kana stared confusedly at Damian who came carrying a tray, "What is that, Damian?"

"Mint tea to relieve stomach pain during menstruation, honey," Damian answered softly. He placed the tray on the table where he relaxed in his office.

"There's a sweet taste, right? The problem is I can't drink tea that isn't sweet," said Kana.

" Yes, I use honey for a mild sweetness."

Kana lowered her feet from the bed to walk towards the sofa, but Damian prevented her.

"Why? My feet don't hurt."

"I'll just carry you," without having time to answer, Kana's body was now in her husband's arms. Kana was still not used to being carried like this, not to mention that Damian's broad chest that was being touched by her body felt a little ridiculous.

Kana sat quietly and watched Damian who was pouring honey and mint tea into the glass, the man stirred the tea slowly and slightly to taste whether the heat was enough or not. After feeling hot and the taste was right, the man in the white shirt with his sleeves rolled up handed the tea he made to Kana.

"Does it suit your tongue, dear?" asked Damian noticing the look on Kana's face.

" It's perfectly sweet and hot. Thank you, Damian, " answered his little wife with a big smile.

'The taste of the tea is the same as the tea I always receive during my period' thought Kana. His mind drifted to the mint and ginger tea he had always received from the people around him over the years. Starting from mothers to children, they gave it to Kana while saying 'hopefully it suits you and is quite warm'.

"I also made Ginger water, so maybe in a few hours the maid will deliver it to you," Damian said while playing with Kana's hair.

' In fact, there's ginger too? ' Kana said to herself.

" Damian, actually in the last few years I have always received mint tea and ginger milk from random people when I have my period," said Kana.

The girl stared at her husband's expression which didn't change at all, still playing with her hair. Kana sighed tiredly, again, the fact in front of her eyes that she could not reach.
