Chapter 9 :- Victoria Faith Wild (P.O.V)

I nervously said, "Hi" which came as a whisper but she heard it, and replied, "Hi, I am Rosa, and you are Veronica right?"

"Yes," I replied. "You must be here to meet Billy, right?" I nodded in response. "Come in. " I slowly made my way behind her and reached what looks like a living room. She turned around and said, "Please, have a seat. I will let him know that you are here, Would you like anything?"

"Yes, water would be fine for me," I replied to her. I took a seat on one of the couches and looked around. There was a huge chandelier in the center of the living room, on the left side of the wall, there were different photo frames which I assume are of the Scott family. On the right side of the wall was a different painting which made the room even more attractive.

"Who are you?" came a deep voice from behind me. I instantly jump at the voice. I slowly turned around and saw it was Thomas standing near the staircase which went towards the first floor. I rolled my eyes inwardly. Of course, he doesn't recognize me. Even though we go to the same academy.

"I am Veronica Wild," I replied to him. He was curiously looking at me as if I am some alien.

"What are you doing here? And how do you know Billy?" He again questions me. What is with him and his questions?

I sighed and replied to his question, " I am here to meet Billy for the psychology project which we are working on and we are in the same class of Psychology."

"Okay, Are you single?"

"Excuse me." I raised an eyebrow at his question. But, I can see in his eyes that he was trying hard to maintain that façade that everyone knows about him, but deep down he was someone else.

"So, I can ask you on a date?" he replied. I smiled at his answer and said, "Give me, one good reason that I should go on a date with you Thomas."

"Isn't that obvious? Everyone knows in the Academy that I am a playboy and I go out with all the girls for a particular reason." he retorted.

"No, I want to know from you. I don't judge someone just because someone has a say in it. I judge someone only after I know that person personally." I replied to him. He was taken back by my reply.

Before he could say anything I heard Billy's voice.

"Hey, Veronica."

I looked up and saw Billy, Robert, and Johnathan coming down the staircase.

"Hi Billy" I replied.

"Thomas, what were you doing here?" asked Johnathan.

"Nothing, just chatting with Veronica."

"You didn't start here too with your tricks, didn't you, of getting into her pants?" I looked at Thomas and I could see he was hurt by Johnathan's question, but he quickly masked it.

Before he could reply I replied for him. "No, we were just chatting. He didn't cross his line." Thomas looked at me but I averted my gaze at Billy and said, "Can we get started with the project, I have to get back home early."

"Sure, why not." He replied.

"Did you have anything?" this time it was Robert who asked me. I was taken back by his concern. Still I replied to him. "No. I don't need it. I had breakfast at home." He gave me one of the rarest smiles which I think I have never seen in the Academy.

I and Billy made our way towards his room, his room was a typical guy room. His walls were grey, unlike his white living room. In the middle was a huge king size bed and on the left was a small table and chair I think for study purposes because I can see there were some of our school books.

We started working on the project. He gave us some ideas and I made some input of ideas and we both worked on it. By the time, we were halfway through the project. I looked at the time, it was already 4:30 and I had to go home. I sighed and said to Billy, "Billy, I think we should stop here because I have to go home now, it's getting late for me." "Sure, why not. But, it's still 4:30 and we didn't have anything for lunch. So let's have some snacks and then you can go home. The boys are downstairs only, so let's have it with them."

"No, it's fine. I am anyway heading towards the home so I will have it there only." I replied to him. Honestly, if I didn't reach by 5 I will have a second round of what I went through in the morning. So I had to reach any cost home by 5.

"Okay, if you insist." We made our way towards the living room where 3 voices can be heard.

When we finally reached the living room, all three heads snapped towards us.

"Okay, I should get going," I said to Billy. In reply, he only nodded towards me.

The moment I was about to turn, came a deep voice which sent a shiver down my spine, "Where are you going?"
