S.S Lazio Youth Scout

I hope you enjoy this chapter and that I did well. This chapter was bet difficult to write.

It has been two months since Mohamed and Sakura arrived in Rome. They live in a small apartment next to Enel Corporation, where Sakura works.

Sakura enrolled Mohamed in St. Philip School to learn Italian so he could continue his education in the future after he learn the Italian language.

Each day, Mohamed attends school from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. After lunch, Mohamed grabs a football and goes to do some training until 7 p.m.

The first thing Mohamed does is start running around the neighbourhood, then go to a public soccer field to train. He then starts his physical training by doing push-ups, set-ups, squats, pull-ups, squats, jumps, and lunges. Mohamed performs each exercise 100 times, 20 times per set.

After Mohamed finishes these exercises, he will start to train his dribbling by dribbling around the soccer field.

Mohamed's basic attributes increased dramatically in these two months because of the training regiment he built for himself.

After he finished training, Mohamed sat on the grass and grabbed water, then started drinking. To review his current status, he accessed his basic status in the system.

Mohamed was pleased with the improvements he made and was about to leave when he noticed three boys around his age approaching him. The one who was leading the other boys is a blond boy with green eyes, a fair complexion, and average height for someone his age. The boy looks older than Mohamed by a couple of years.

The next boy looks younger than the blond boy; he has black hair, blue eyes, and a fair complexion. He was shorter than the blond-haired boy.

The last boy was the tallest of the three boys; he had brown eyes, black hair, and a fair complexion.

The blond boy smiled at Mohamed and said to him, "Hey there, my name is Antonio, and these are my friends Aldo and Alessio. We would like you to join our football team for today, please. One of our friends couldn't make it because he got sick."

When Mohamed heard this, he got excited and said, "No problem." All three smiled at Mohamed when they heard his answer, and they started leaving the football field.

They arrived at another football field. An arrogant boy smirked at Antonio and said, "You three really didn't run away." "I see you just brought another loser. Oh well, you're going to lose anyway."

When Antonio, Aldo, and Alessio heard what the arrogant boy just said, their faces darkened. The boy was tall for his age; he has a fair complexion, black hair neatly tied in a ponytail, and black eyes.

Antonio yelled at the boy, "Shut up, Francesco. If you have anything to say, then say it in the field." Francesco shrugged and walked to his own teammates.

Antonio gathers his teammates and introduces them to Mohamed: "Alright guys, this is Mohamed; he will replace Matteo for today." Upon hearing this, all of them glanced at Mohamed and exchanged a smile.

Antonio then turned to Mohamed and asked, "Could you play as a striker, Mohamed?" If you can, that will be a tremendous help to us. "Currently, due to Matteo's absence, I am the only striker in the team; he is our other striker."

Mohamed nodded his head seriously at Antonio and said, "Alright, I will play as a striker."

A man in his thirties was heading to meet a friend in a nearby coffee shop, but he stopped when he saw kids around 13 to 15 years old who were going to start playing football match.

The man was wearing a black suit and sunglasses. He was quite handsome, had a fair complexion, and had long black hair. When he noticed the children preparing to play a football match, he thought to himself, "I am falling behind in scouting new talents for the youth football school. I am hopeful that I will find someone worthy to join our youth school from this batch of kids."

In The Football Field

A midfielder passed the ball to Mohamed, signalling the start of the match. Mohamed turned his head and saw two defensive midfielders pressing at him.

Mohamed faked a pass to bypass the first opponent, flicked the ball to the left using the outside of his left foot, and then used his incredible speed to dribble past him.

The other midfielder stretched his leg to knock the ball away from Mohamed, but Mohamed flicked the ball twice with his right foot to the right and dribbled past the midfielder.

Everyone was shocked, including the scout. Mohamed arrived at the edge of the penalty area, and one of the defenders charged at him to prevent him from entering the penalty area.

Mohamed saw Antonio running sideways in the penalty area, and he faked a pass to him. After witnessing this, the defender attempted to intercept the pass by extending his leg as far as he could, but his eyes widened upon realizing that he had been deceived.

After successfully decieving the defender, Mohamed flicked the ball with his heel and continued his breakthrough. The two remaining defenders charged at him after he entered the penalty area, leaving Antonio free without anyone marking him.

Mohamed passed the ball to Antonio between the two defenders, but they were too slow to intercept it.

The goalkeeper charged at Antonio when he saw him receive Mohamed's pass, and Antonio kicked the ball as hard as he could.

The goalkeeper was too slow to react to the shot, and he could only look helplessly as the ball fell into the net.

Antonio's face was flushed with excitement, and he ran towards Mohamed, then hugged him. The rest of the team rushed to Mohamed and started praising him.

With The Scout

The scout's eyes lit up when he saw Mohamed's dribbles, his breakthrough, and his assist. He then thought to himself, "His dribbling and ball control are impressive for a kid like him, but his speed is something else. entirely way surpass someone his age. He is also exceptionally intelligent, and when he made this pass and created a perfect goal opportunity, it was truly ingenious."

The scout took his phone and made a call: "Listen, Jack, I will not be coming today; something important just came up. I will see you tomorrow. Sorry about that." 

After the scout finished his call, he took out the camera from his bag and started recoding the match.

In The Football Field

As the match progressed, the opposing team began marking Mohamed, but Mohamed's speed rendered their efforts futile. Mohamed used his fast speed to break free from those who marked him every time. 

After 10 minutes, Mohamed received a pass from Aldo. Three of the opponent teams rushed at him, but Mohamed quickly passed the ball to Alessio and ran forward. He caught the three opposing teams off guard.

Alessio understood Mohamed's plan, and he passed the ball back to Mohamed right away, who started dribbling to the opponent's goal with his full speed.

The scout nodded his head in satisfaction when he saw Alessio pass the ball back to Mohamed and thought, "This kid may not be as talented as that Asian kid, but he had a good head over his shoulders."

When Mohamed entered the small penalty area, the goalkeeper crouched down, ready to protect his goal.

Mohamed didn't hesitate to shoot a ground shot to the right corner of the goal. The goalkeeper dived towards the ball, but he couldn't reach it, and the ball bounced into the net.

Mohamed clenched his fist and raised it in the air. All his teammates rushed at him; they started patting his head and praising him for the goal he just scored.

With The Scout

While recording the match, the scout smirked and thought to himself, "I think I found a diamond that needed to be honed; he had the potential to be a great winger with his dribbling talent; he also had great vision for someone as young as him; he could be an effective midfielder and playmaker; and on top of that, he had a good scoring sense, which could make him a good striker."

The match ended 5-0 for Antonio's team; all members celebrated winning, and all the team members praised Mohamed for his football skills.

The arrogant boy looked angrily at Antonio and his team and left the football field without uttering a single word.

Antonio looked at Mohamed with a smile on his face and said to him, "Hey Mohamed, how about you join our team? Every weekend we play against other teams. It will be fun." The others nodded at what Antonio said.

Mohamed smiled and nodded. "It was fun playing with you guys, and since I live nearby, I would love to join your team." Everybody cheered when they heard Mohammed's answer.

Aldo smiled at Mohamed and said to him, "I live nearby too. Mohamed, how about we go home together?"

Mohamed looked at his hand watch and shook his head. "My mom is still at work; she will finish work after one hour. I will play football here to kill time before going back home."

Aldo and the rest of the team nodded their heads in understanding. They bid farewell to Mohamed before they left the football field.

Mohamed started juggling the ball after Antonio and his team left the football field. The scout put his camera back in his bag and decided to have a chat with Mohamed. He entered the field and started walking towards Mohamed.

Mohamed stopped juggling the ball when he saw the scout approaching him. The scout smiled and said to Mohamed, "You did well, kid. I saw the match you played with your friends."

Mohamed blushed at the praise and said to the scout, "Thank you, sir."

The scout chuckled when he saw Mohamed blush and said to him, "Allow me to introduce myself to you, kid. My name is Marco Bruno." I am one of the S.S. Lazio FC youth scouts. I was impressed by your performance just now, so I decided to invite you to take the youth trial at S.S. Lazio FC this year."

Mohamed was shocked when he heard what the scout said and smiled widely: "I would love to give the youth trial a shot, sir, but I will need to consult my mother first."

The scout nodded in understanding and said to Mohamed, "How about I talk to your mother about joining the trial? I am sure she will be more understandable if I explain everything to her."

Mohamed was pleased when he heard the scout proposal and nodded his head. "Thank you, sir, but she is at work right now; she will return home after one hour."

Marco nodded and said, "Okay, how about we have a meal together?" That way, we can get to know each other better, and when your mother arrives home, we go and see her. What do you think?"

Mohamed nodded his head, then he and Marco left the football field and went to the nearest restaurant to have a meal together.
