Last match before winter break

Today it will be our last match before winter break. We are half-time champions so far. 

The game against Frankfurt should probably be won. We won against them pretty high in the Super Cup and they didn't play exceptionally well in the rest of the league either.

It didn't take that long from Munich to Frankfurt. 

After arriving at the stadium we felt the atmosphere of the Frankfurt fans again. They were crazy. 

The game soon began.

We played in our usual 3-5-2 formation.

Frankfurt played in a 3-5-2 formation although it was more defensive.

We started to pressure Frankfurt, but they played very smoothly and made no mistakes. 

After pressuring, we were now more upfront on the court. Suddenly Frankfurt played a few passes through our midfield to get through to the goal. There were only Süle and Hummels there because Alaba helped to pressure.

It was a 2vs2.

The Frankfurter striker passed the ball to his colleague and started to accelerate. Hummels who wasn't that fast couldn't keep up to him.

The one who received the ball immediately passed back to his teammate.

Now it was a 1vs1 against Neuer for the Frankfurt player. Hummels and Süle were still behind but couldn't catch up.

The Striker made a chip over Neuer. 

Neuer had no chance and it was 1:0.

Soon we started to pressure again. Although not as aggressive as before to not repeat the same mistakes again. Frankfurt didn't let us have the ball the whole time and soon it was half time.

In the second half, we tried many times to impact the goal.

We only had a few sharp crosses or passes from the flank, but they didn't bring any huge danger to Frankfurt's goal.

In the 92nd minute we had a corner kick. It was the last chance before the game ended to equalize. Due to this Neuer went up front with us. 

After I shot the corner I immediately ran to the defense to prevent counterattcks.

I was the only one doing that.

And the worst case happened. Frankfurt counterattacked. It was a 2vs1 situation.

After coming to me they made two passes. 

I tried to intercept one of the passes and even succeeded, but the ball was reflected back to the player again. I was now on the ground and they had a completely free way to the empty goal.

Of course they shot the 2:0. 

Shortly after the game ended and we lost 2:0.

The worst thing wasn't the score, but how we played. We couldn't do anything in the Offense and our defense was seriously lacking.
