Granny Madeline~

The journey to her unknown grandmother's house was smooth and the train arrived just as it said it would half past 4 on the second day.

She had slept through the journey only waking up to eat or do some necessities.

She wondered what her grandmother was like, was she anything like her mother? She couldn't wait to see her though she knew nothing about her, and was excited to meet a new family member. Florence was happy for the possibilities of new relatives. she did not understand why her mother never said anything about her granny, she looked forward and dreamt of having a good time with her.

Granny Madeline had just heard that her long lost grand daughter was orphaned and had no where to go she didn't know what had happened to her daughter or the father of her granddaughter but she was excited and over joyed to meet the little girl. Granny Madeline never knew that her daughter had a baby. It was few weeks ago when a friend of hers told her ( not in details) about her grand daughter and the death of mr Grady.

Mr Grady was the vendor that sell newspaper and old stuff. He also made repairs to bicycle and old clock. Granny Madeline couldn't quite understand why her daughter was so interested in the young man. She had catch them many a times and she had scolded her daughter every time. Soon the neighbors started to gossip and it was no longer a news that her daughter was seeing the vendor.

Granny Madeline tried all she could to separate them for it was no news that mr Grady was an alcoholic and gambler.

Granny Madeline husband died when her daughter was only 2 years old he was in the military, and was killed by a stray bullet. She tried all she could to raise her daughter alone refusing to be married again. She sacrificed her life and happiness for the sake of her daughter's future. She loved her husband and she still loved him even in death.

It was on a sunny afternoon granny had just returned from the games with her friend. she searched the whole house and couldn't find her daughter neither could she find her daughter's belongings, all the money granny Madeline keep at home were all gone, her daughter and mr Grady ran away with all her hard earned money.

This was sad, very sad but she would have given everything to have her back even for 5 minutes. She searched and searched but no one knew where her daughter or mr Grady was.

It was a such good news when that her granddaughter was coming to stay with her. She had cooked and bake and cleaned. She did everything with such zeal that everyone couldn't help notice the change.
