1983

It was early in the morning in Hurricane, Utah, and an alarm was going off waking a certain teenager up. He got up yawning before looking at the clock beside his bed. He turned it off before turning on his back. "Ugh... School." The teenager rolled out of bed before walking to his windows and opening the curtains, revealing a two-door bedroom with a closet at the front center and a bed at the center back. Posters of animal characters were seen in his room along with a fox mask on the drawer near the left door. He grabbed his stuff and got out of bed, rushing toward the bathroom, and cutting off a younger boy and a young girl."Snooze you lose slowpokes!" The teenager said as he ran into the bathroom and locked the door. The children were visibly upset with their older brother as they waited outside for him to finish. When he was done getting ready, he walked out wearing a grey sleeveless hoodie, blue knee-length jeans, and black sneakers. His brown hair was slicked back with hair gel and he held a confident smirk on his face, "All yours, brats." The teen said as he strutted back to his room to grab his school bag and foxy mask before going back to the kitchen to find his father. The man looked like an older version of his teenage son, but more well-composed and moody. The man wore a purple suit and his hair was well-maintained to show how he liked maintaining a sense of professionalism. "Michael," the adult male spoke up, drinking his coffee, "I'm going to be working at Fredbear's today and your mother is going to be at work all day as well. I'd like it if you could pick up Elizabeth and Evan from school this afternoon." Michael's father spoke with a cold tone that was carried over further by his British accent."Again? I've been picking them up all week last week!" Michael said, irritated before sarcastically asking, "What? You want me to babysit them too?""That would be well appreciated. Thank you." Michael's father said with a smirk as he looked back at his son who stared at him in disbelief. "What? Dad, I was being sarcastic," Michael said as his father smirked once more before sipping on the cup of coffee."I know. I hope this serves as a lesson for you to not run your mouth. I'll be leaving now, your mother will still be dropping you and your siblings off before she goes to work," Michael's father said as he finished the coffee and walked out of the kitchen. "William! Have you seen my car keys?!" A woman shouted from another room. Michael's father yelled back saying, "They're next to the fruit bowl in the kitchen, dear! I have to leave now, I'll see you lot in the evening!" William said before leaving the house.Michael could hear a car starting before driving away from the house as he opened a cupboard and grabbed a box of cereal from it. The teenager groaned as he grabbed a bowl and poured the cereal in before grabbing some milk from the fridge and pouring it into his bowl."Good morning, Michael." Michael's mother greeted as she walked in. She wore a long green skirt with a white shirt and green pumps. Her strawberry blonde hair flowed down past her shoulders and near the middle of her back. Her green eyes stared at him with joy as she looked at her son. "Morning, Mum." Michael greeted back as he ate his cereal. "I'm gonna be late today but I hope your father talked to you about picking your siblings up from school today.""Oh he told me alright," Michael said as his mood soured once again while his mother grabbed two bowls and poured in cereal and milk in them both while Michael was halfway done with his breakfast. "I hope it's not too much for you. I would have gotten a babysitter but you know how paranoid your father can be. Still, I appreciate that you still do this.""It's no problem, Mum," Michael said as he finished his cereal and put the bowl in the sink. His mother finished making her own breakfast before saying, "Oh, and Michael, please go make sure Evan and Elizabeth are ready." Michael silently groaned before leaving the kitchen and walking to his siblings' rooms."Michael do this, Michael do that, ugh, I'm sick of it," Michael complained before stopping in front of his brother's bedroom and opening up the door, seeing his brother talking to five stuffed animals, a brown bear, a red fox, a yellow chicken, a blue bunny, and a yellow bear. Michael glared at his brother before saying, "Hey, Crybaby! Get to the kitchen and go get your breakfast, you're gonna make us all late to school!" Evan was startled by his older brother and placed his stuffed animals on his bed before Michael yelled out, "Today, please!""Sorry!" Evan yelped before running out of his room and to the kitchen. Michael proceeded to shut the door and go to his sister's room and opened the door only to find her already on her way out. "Mikey, why are you here?" Elizabeth asked her brother who said, "Breakfast in the kitchen, hurry up, Mum's taking us to school today." The strawberry-blonde girl nodded and walked away toward the kitchen while Michael followed suit.Once in the kitchen, Elizabeth sat next to Evan who was eating his breakfast while she did the same. Michael got his bag and mask and walked to the living room to watch some TV while he waited for his family. A cartoon was playing, one that had the same characters that was on Michael's posters, and the same ones that Evan's stuffed animals were based off of. Fredbear and Friends was the name of the cartoon and it starred Fredbear, the yellow dancing and singing bear along with his friends, a brown bear named Freddy Fazbear, a blue rabbit named Bonnie the Bunny, a yellow chicken named Chica the Chicken, and a red pirate fox named Foxy the Pirate.Micheal's favorite of the characters was Foxy and he was happy when he got his favorite mask from his father before they it came out at Fredbear's Family Diner. A new restaurant was made as well and the cartoon also served as a promotion for the new restaurant that was opened. Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Fredbear's was a restaurant that his father William worked at, and it had animatronic mascots that performed for the children as well. The yellow bear, Fredbear, and a yellow variation of Bonnie that William and his family dubbed Spring Bonnie, to get rid of the confusion between the two rabbit mascots. While Michael did like the perks that came with his father working at Fredbear's Family Diner, he also did not like that his father was away a lot, and as a result, he was forced to babysit Evan and Elizabeth on most days since his mother's working hours changed from what he was used to when he was younger. As Micheal lamented on his thoughts, he was interrupted by his mother who walked into the living room with his siblings. "Micheal, turn the TV off, it's time to go." Micheal grabbed the remote and turned off the TV before grabbing his bag and Foxy mask before walking out the door with his siblings and mother. The car ride was silent and the first stop was at the elementary school where Elizabeth and Evan went to. The siblings got out of the car and said their goodbyes before walking into the building, to which the car continued to move on from. Michael was then dropped off at his high school and he said his goodbyes as well before his mother drove off to work. As he looked at the building, he groaned before walking inside with his mask hanging around his neck."Mike! How's it hanging?" Micheal looked in front of him and saw three teen boys. The first was a boy with tanned skin and dirty blonde hair wearing a green shirt, blue shorts, tan shoes, and a Freddy Fazbear mask that hung around his neck. This was Michael's friend, Frederick.

The next one had dark skin and dark brown hair. He wore dark orange shorts and dark brown shoes while wearing a blue shirt and a Chica mask that he wore above his forehead. This was Simon and he was the shortest of the three.

The last was the tallest of the trio and he had lighter skin than Simon and black hair. He wore a red shirt, grey shoes, and blue shorts while a Bonnie mask was hanging around his neck as well. This was Mark.

Michael smiled seeing his friends and walked toward them. They greeted each other with high fives before walking to class catching up with one another. As they got seated, they continued their conversation before the teacher walked in and took roll call."Okay, class, weekend's over. You have your time to have fun now shut it. I'm taking roll call right now before we begin class, Michael Afton? Michael Afton.""Present," Michael replied before looking out the window while the teacher continued with roll call. Michael paid as little attention as he could to the lesson before moving on to the next class. Michael stayed bored and uninterested throughout the day, only looking forward to lunch with his friends. While they had enjoyed their lunch, Michael was still feeling bored until a certain question was asked by Mark. "So, Mike, you good for going to the arcade with us today?""Can't, mate. My bloody dad has me on babysitting duty... Again." Michael said as he groaned at the thought. "Elizabeth isn't even a problem, she just does her own thing and isn't even a bother, it's always that damn crybaby Evan. I wish I could just kick his arse but then he'd cry to both my parents and I'd be in shit for it.""If you can't beat the tears out of him, then scare them out of him. I mean, he's gonna be going to middle school next year and high school the next two years after that, right? Toughen him up by scaring the baby out of him." Frederick suggested."Besides, if your folks end up finding out, they could just get a babysitter so they don't have to have you deal with Crybaby again," Simon added. Michael looked at his friends as if he struck gold, "When did you two get smart?""Fuck you, Mike. You're just as dumb as we are." Simon retorted before seeing a smirk on Michael's face. "First of all, you wish you could. Second, you just admitted to being dumb.""Dumb and gay, not off to a good start, Simon." Mark chimed in to which he and Michael laughed. The rest of lunch went off without a hitch and the time soon came for Michael to leave school. He said goodbye to his friends and walked towards the elementary school to pick up his siblings. As he got there, he found them waiting, to which Elizabeth complained about since Michael took too long, according to her. All he retorted with was the fact that he came out of school later than she and Evan did and that he didn't have a car before Elizabeth continued to whine. Evan timidly looked at his siblings before Michael told them to stay quiet and follow him as he walked with them back home. Little did he know, that things were going to change this week.
