Chapter 28 : blood ties unraveled

In the dining room of Chalermchai mansion,the dining room was filled with bodyguards,holding guns. every member of the family is their even Mr Korn's wife.

"Today, I will tell you why I let Pete inherit my company." Chairman Chalermchai said."His mother was the founder of CP investment, and CP means "Chalermchai Pete" everything I own today was because of her,so I'm just returning the company to it's real owner,Pete."

Everyone expression changed because they never knew that the company belonged to Pete's mother.

"But just because of that,you can't let us inherit it." Atid stand up protested

Pete looked at Atid. "You can inherit it since your mother or your grandmother is the founder." He stopped and looked at everyone. "As you all know, even without out this company,I'm already rich and powerful."

"Pete... how dare you." Atid shouted

Yai immediately points a gun at Atid's head,just waiting for an order from his boss.

"If he talks or moves from where he is,shoot him." Pete gave the order

Even has a horror look on their face,but Korn gathered all his courage and said, "Are you really going to shoot him?" He raised his eyebrows

"Are you doubting?" He said,"Shoot." As he looked at Yai

Yai immediately pulled the trigger and shot Atid's arm. Everyone was startled except James and Chairman Chalermchai, which their eyes showed proud.

Pete stood up. "I'm full,oh it's not that serious. Just take him to the hospital for better treatment." Everyone was scared to talk

The dimly lit room smelled of cigar smoke and betrayal. Pete Chalermchai sat behind his mahogany desk, his fingers tapping impatiently on the polished surface. The room was adorned with black-and-white photographs of his criminal empire's rise to power, but tonight, those memories felt hollow.

The door creaked open, and Yai, his trusted assistant, stepped inside. His eyes widened as he took in Pete's clenched jaw and the way his knuckles turned white against the desk.

"Boss," Yai began cautiously, "I have some information about your mother's death."

Pete's gaze bore into Yai's. "Speak."

"It was personal**, Boss," Yai said, choosing his words carefully. "The lady boss, Yihwa, her father—"

Salvatore's heart stuttered. Yihwa, the raven-haired beauty who'd stolen his heart. The woman who'd whispered secrets in the dark, her kisses a balm for his tormented soul. He'd never suspected her.

"Her father," Yai continued, "is Pharn—the rival Mafia boss. I did some investigation on her and for the past 14 years she has been seeing a physiatrist"

Mr Ratana has two sons (Pharn and Kinn), but Yihwa always uses Kinn as her surname,so Pete thought that Yihwa was Kinn's daughter.

The room spun. Pete's mind raced, connecting the dots. Yihwa's father had orchestrated Pete's mother murder. The woman he loved was the daughter of the man who'd torn his world apart.

"Where is she?" Pete's voice was ice.

Yai hesitated. "She's waiting outside, Boss. She doesn't know we've discovered the truth."

Pete stood, his legs shaky. He strode to the window, staring out at the rain-soaked streets. The city was a battleground, and he'd been a pawn in their twisted game.

"Didn't I tell you to tell her not to come to me again?" He said in anger.'She is married to his nephew,so now their relationship has ended'

And in that moment, the Mafia boss vowed to rewrite the rules of vengeance. Love and betrayal would fuel his wrath, and Yihwa's father would pay the ultimate price.
