Moment of Sorrow

"Thank God, this is it, He is really kind to me, He really heard my prayer," Prinah closed her both palms and smile in front of them, "I was really confused and don't know what to do. I'm so tired and feel weak but now I found the light and it's you.

"Yes, this is it, the light is with you and within your heart," 'lolo' Rio smiled, "Follow the desires of your heart and God will guide you." the old man tapped her arms. "Well, I will not stay any longer. Eliza, you know what to do," says the old man while Eliza bows her head, "Prinah, you help each other, May God lead you in your journey. Oh! Here's a lamp you can use to guide your way."'lolo' Rio quickly extends the lamp to Prinah, "I will go now," the old man waves his right hand and utter his farewell while Prinah and Eliza did as well.

The old man carries the woods in his shoulder then turns his back heading toward the forest. Prinah and Eliza continue waving their hands while 'lolo' Rio gradually disappears in their sights.

"Come let's go to my house," asked Prinah, "Well, It's a long run again," Prinah laugh as they began walking.

"How long you have been here?" asked Eliza.

"I have been here more than a week," Prinah looks at his fingers as she calculates her stay.

"Well, 'lolo' Rio is very concern about you. He keeps on talking about your situation here until I got home from my study. He told me to stay with you." Eliza turn her face to Prinah

"Thank you so much for coming here," Prinah smiled, "It's very hard for me to come to this place with no relatives, friends, and family. Thank God you are here. I just came here hoping to find my father." Prinah smiled while tearing the dry leave she is holding.

"Don't worry you will find your father soon but we have to get out in this forest first," Eliza responds while looking at the waving branches of the trees.

"Where are your parents?" Prinah interestingly asked Eliza.

Eliza bows her head while watching their steps passing the grassy way, "I lost my parents when I was still a baby," Eliza then turns her face to Prinah.

Prinah then touches her right shoulder saying, "I am so sorry for what had happened to your parents."

"It's okay," Eliza responds while both of them teary eyes.

"I lost my mother when I was three and now I had to find where my father was," Prinah sentimentally expresses her feelings.

They laugh at each other after knowing both of them felt the same way. The heat of the sun seems to burned their skin as they do a fast walk. They enjoy talking to each other while covering their face as they pass through the branches of the shrubs. The wind blows their hair, the birds sing sweetly on the trees, and the colorful butterflies busy flying around them.

"Tell me more about your experience here," Eliza asked Prinah while fixing her hair.

"It is like coming to a certain project. You know. Or like a mission" Prinah raised her both shoulders and lookup.

"like what?" Eliza asked with curiosity.

"..Ohm you know. When you came to a certain place when no one is there. How would you feel? When nobody is there?. Seems like ah! I almost turn my back but I realize this what I wanted," Prinah shakes her head and smiled, "only an abandoned house, weeds, kinds of stuff, but I feel the presence of the person who lives in that place before.." Prinah turns her eyes to Eliza and pauses for a moment.

"I feel like my father is talking to me every day. Those things he left behind were saying something of who he was. I feel the things he likes to do whenever I touch it. I found his journal.." Prinah stops walking and takes a deep breath.

"Wow! That's good news" Eliza respond while giving her the signal to continue walking, "So, what is in there?"

"Everything, songs...I think.., poems.., reports.., and business records I guess.." Prinah nods her head.

"Interesting, that's your hint and guide, it gives you ideas in finding your father," Eliza then looks toward the house as they came closer.

"You know, when I found his journal, it gives meaning and answers why I came here, I think this is the half of my journey," Prinah pick a branch and slightly strike some grass.

"Yeah! It is," Eliza looks straight in the house while covering her eyes from the sunlight, "I saw you a while ago, you run like a cheetah," she added attempting Prinah to laugh.

Prinah laugh and said, "Yes, I never thought I could run like that, it seems like a turbo is pressed from my back, so that is why I could not stop myself from running," the two lift their chins and laugh loudly.

"How do you feel when you are alone?" Eliza inquired.

"I talked to myself all the time," she remembers something, "Oh! I forgot to tell."

"Forgot to tell what..?" Eliza asked curiously.

"That I have a friend here," Prinah extended her left arm as she opens her hand and smile.

"Wow! Interesting, Who?" Eliza asked with excitement.

"His name is Cally!" Prinah looks around the big trees after mentioning the name.

"Why are you looking at the trees? Did he live in there?" Eliza is confused while fixing her hair.

"It is an old bird," Prinah turns her face to Eliza and laughs after realizing she expects a person, "One day, I was surprised when he suddenly land at the window. I was shocked because that was my first time meeting that kind of big bird. I found out that it is my father's pet." Prinah added.

"How do you know?" Eliza raised her eyebrows.

"He wrote a poem about it in his book. He called it 'Dodo' my lovely bird but I changed his name to Cally haha," she laughs but suddenly stops walking when she noticed the shadow of the house, "Oh! We are home."
