Micheal Alpharia
Opening my eyes gently, I found myself staring at the familiar ribbons of my bed canopy.
My throat felt dry as I cleared it, and I noticed a light pressure on my forehead. Instinctively, I reached up to touch it.
"Don't hurt yourself." Sophia's voice came softly. I turned to look at her, worry etched across her face.
"What happened?" I asked, confusion clouding my mind. The last thing I remembered was my encounter yesterday. Why was I lying in bed now?
"Don't worry, Alpha. That lady will be punished for what she did to you." She squeezed the towel she was holding and placed it gently on my forehead.
"Punished?" I repeated, a frown creasing my forehead. "You will be fine." Her touch only fueled the anger simmering inside me.
"Luna," I said her name with a fierce tone.
"Yes, Alpha." She giggled, almost bringing her hand towards my forehead again. "Don't you dare." My voice was harsh, and her hand froze mid-air.
Her face filled with confusion. "What happened, Alpha?" she asked quietly, her voice irritating me further.
"Please leave my chamber," I commanded, my voice cold and firm. "I should..."
"Get out!" My voice echoed around the room, sending shivers down her spine. She stood up immediately, embarrassment flooding her features.
"It's high time you understand, I'm your Luna and you need to forget about the past!" Her voice was filled with pain. I scoffed.
"Do you think I'm a fool? Do you remember that strange lady who came to my palace?"
"Making up all the conspiracy about Alexander, making me thristy for more boundaries?
"It was you," I accused, watching the shock spread across her face. She gasped, "I didn't do anything..."
"Enough," I interrupted her.
"I know how you set me up, making me kill the one I loved the most. You're only lucky enough..." I removed the towel from my forehead, standing up and moving towards her.
"You were lucky enough to drug me into having kids with you," I leaned in close to her ear.
"Now go away from me," I uttered, sending a shiver through her body. She gulped down her fear, folding her arms in annoyance.
"I didn't do anything," she muttered one last time before furiously walking out of my chambers.
I walked directly towards my mirror, seeing the wound appearing on my forehead. My hand traced over it gently.
As I touched it, I remembered the lady from yesterday.
"What connection do I have with her that keeps me calm?" I whispered to myself, smirking at the memory of yesterday's events.
I sniffed the air, catching Louis's scent.
"Don't bother knocking, just enter," I instructed. The door opened, and Louis walked in, his blazing fury show in the reflection.
"Good morning, Alpha. How are you doing today?" he inquired. I scoffed, "Is that what you're here for?" I asked, still looking at his reflection. His white hair blew into his face, and he brushed it aside.
"Well, Alpha, some issues are arising that you need to know about," he continued. I raised an eyebrow, "What issues, Louis?"
"It's Litany," he responded coldly. I frowned, "Hmmm, you mean my brother?" "Yes, Alpha," he confirmed immediately.
"Is he misbehaving again?" I sighed.
"I should have known giving him the Skywood pack to govern would cause trouble. Tell me what's happening."
"The frequent killing of omegas has become alarming. Alpha Litany has killed many omegas and banished others from the palace. The banished omegas are increasing in number and are now forming a rebel pack," he explained.
"Forming a rebel group?" I repeated calmly, then slammed my hands on the dressing table.
"How dare he try to cause another war!" I yelled, walking towards the wardrobe to take out a royal robe.
"Do you need help, Alpha?" he asked. "No, don't bother. Go and get me the council of elders, now!" I commanded, zipping up the robe.
Firstly, it's the audacity of Litany that I admire; he didn't ask for my consent before banishing omegas.
Secondly, it's the confidence of the omegas trying to form their rebel pack.
I grabbed my ribbon, placing it on my head, and walked out of my chamber. My guards followed, bowing their heads. Increasing my pace, I entered the palace.
"All hail your highness," the council said, bowing their heads as I walked towards the throne and sat down.
"All rise," I commanded, and all heads were lifted.
I hit my hands on the armrest in anger. "Can someone tell me what's going on in the Skywood pack again?" I bellowed.
"Louis, get Litany for me. Tell him we have an urgent meeting," I ordered. He bowed and walked away.
"I can't let everything be destroyed under my roof. Omegas under my policy are meant to be slaves or prostitutes, not going about killing one another," I stated, my face blazing with fury.
"Your Alpha, we need to act fast. The omegas are planning a rebellion, and it will be a shame for us if we lose," one of the elders said. I folded my arms in anger, the only thing I wanted was to see Litany and give him a hard slap.
"To me, we aren't afraid of the omegas. Let them do their worst; we'll kill them. Wolfless people trying to fight," another elder said, and a laugh erupted.
"I'm strong, mighty, and fierce. Killing them would be like taking advantage of them because they can't escape death," I responded.
"I no longer want the shedding of blood; instead, I want peace," I said again.
"Sometimes wars are meant to settle things," Catherine added from my other side, her harsh words surprising me.
"Someone needs to smack sense into them," another elder added.
"They are very brutal; you dare not step a foot in their territory," my eyes blazed with fury as I gripped the armrest of my throne.
Lost in thought, I was brought back to reality by the words, "All hail, Alpha Litany of the Skywood pack." I saw him walk closer with his mischievous laugh.
