New Beginnings

It is a beautiful fall morning as Mari awakes to the smell of pumpkin spice cookies and nutmeg. The air radiates with the smell of festivity that brings a sense of pure bliss to all. She arises from her heavenly slumber like a bear from hibernation.

"I can't believe it's October 1st, my birthday is in 17 days. Not only that but I got excepted into saint trinity university" she says looking at the pretty yellow, black, and orange leaves scattered about the ground.

'Saint Trinity University is a school with many accomplishments and honors but also many mysteries and rumors. Former students say there is a populous of witches and werewolves, even vampires'

Mari gets dressed in her favorite fall outfit, a cute grey knitted sweater with blue denim jeans, grey high heel boots, and her normal hip length curly hair. her army hazel green eyes light up the outfit and she finishes with a smile. she heads downstairs to see what exactly her family is cooking up.

"Good morning" Mari says entering the kitchen where her family and best friend, Kyle Mendes, are seated.

"Good morning little sister" Aniyah says walking up to hug me. Aniyah is a tall, slender, and voluptuous women with brown skin, brown eyes, and straight hair to top it off.

Mother simply 𝐬tays silent as her beautiful black hair flows down her back over the apron. She is wearing a white shirt and camouflage joggers.

''Where is father at?"I ask kinda already knowing the answer but trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.

"He is at work sweety, now enough about him. Let's talk about you and Kyle getting excepted into Holy Trinity"I and Kyle look at each other and he shoots me a smirk

"I don't know about him but I'm going there for the academics and lore, He is probably going because they have cute and wealthy girls there who only know how to use daddy's money "she rolls her eyes at his poor reasons for going and he simply laughs.

"That's not true they academics are pretty nice to I guess, but the parties are legendary. Besides, I think your just bitter cause your about to be an 18-year-old virgin come October" He laughs in a teasing and joking manner but only earns him a Glare

"Don't be mad because I have more respect for myself than you do, knowledge is power. Sluts are just temporary the same as those frat parties. Now we should go ahead and finish getting our supplies for this year"

"Yeah Yeah Yeah, I'm coming whenever your ready"

The two say their goodbyes to Mari's family and they both get in Kyle's car to head to the campus to collect their supplies and find out which dorms they'll be staying in.

"I can't believe it, we got accepted into Saint Trinity University. What if the rumors end up being true? I'm not gonna lie, being a vampire doesn't sound bad. I mean think about it, eternity to fulfill your dreams and do what you want" Mari says to Kyle with a sparkle in her

'It always was her dream to live forever, she was always a fantasy type of girl. If this does end up being true than to her all her dream can finally become realized...She's kinda cute when she gets like this' Kyle thinks to himself and stays silent as she talks about her dreams the entire way there with smiles on both of their faces.
