Part II Chapter 24: Final Training and Attack from Darkness

About three months later

Panting as I glared at my teachers after sparring with them all for the last three months. Finally, Breeze smiled at me," Well, Xyverinos, here we come."

A powerful wave of wind was released from Breeze as my future sight kicked in, dodging both a bolt of lightning and a pillar of light at once. Flinging my sharpened feathers, I flung them on Sun, who swatted them to the side, and well, that backfired. My feathers were stabbing into his tail as he flared some light and vaporized the feathers quickly. Next, Kirara released several tendrils of lightning at me. Weaving through them, I blasted Kirara with a powerful blast of spirit fire.

She growled," Inferno, hurry up and trap him already; you trained him to the point where he rivals Breeze, Sun, Moon, and me."

Inferno retorted," He is a pain in the ass to try and pin."

I was grinning lightly as I used a spell to increase my evasive speed and amplify the power of my attacks.

Breeze felt the flare of magic as she warned the others," He used some spell. So heads up for anything."

Disappearing in a flash of speed, I used my four wings to amplify the magic spell causing me to become a stream of white. Then, sharpening my feathers, I slashed into Sun's front left leg. Sun growled in shock and pain as Inferno appeared in front of me, slamming me in the face with his tail sending me flying into the wall as I groaned as Sun hissed," Little hatchling hit my tendon."

My eyes narrowed as I calmly looked at them as Kirara released tendrils of lightning at me as I disappeared in a flash of light, blinding all of them except Sun. My feathers still sharp slashed deep wounds into Kirara's, Inferno's, and Breeze's legs. Sun used his bulk to charge at me as I chuckled softly," Your far slower than me, Sun."

Inferno recovered the fastest as his black flames flared around me; the force was like being pinned down by a boulder as I was sucked towards it. Then, releasing my spirit fire, it surrounded me, combating the pull of the void flames.

Inferno grinned," Well, I am impressed; you figured out a way to combat the gravitational pull of the void flames. I am going to increase the pull of the void flames. Releasing all my spirit fire as the white flames curled off from me as Inferno's flames grew more assertive, as did the pull. I could feel myself losing ground as I murmured," Power amplification times two."

My spirit fire's power jumped as the pull of the void flames was negated as I stopped moving towards the void flames. Until Inferno used more of his raw power into the flames, causing me to slide again. Fighting against the pull again as I used my fourth spell," Power amplification times five!"

Again The pull of the void flames was negated. Then, disappearing in a column of flames as I panted from the exertion as Inferno smiled at me," Don't tell me you are done yet."

Kirara snickered," Have fun, Inferno don't kill him."

A feminine voice came from the entrance," Well, this is entertaining to watch. Good luck, hatchling."

Upon seeing Feather for the first time in the past four months, I waved my tail at her.

A pulse of power drove my attention back towards Inferno as he decided to truly show why he is the strongest wyvern in the haven. The ground broke apart and crumbled as his aura appeared, looking into flaming blue eyes glaring down at me. Breathing outwards, I released my aura, a powerful storm around me as Inferno chuckled," Well done with the aura manipulation. However."

Neary collapsing onto the ground as an unforeseen weight pinned me down as I thought shocked,' What presence, so this is Infernos will and mental fortitude! But the mind is where I am strongest!'

In a mere moment, I shattered the mental boulders as I could feel the emotions in the room, shock, amazement, and most of all, pride.

Panting, I attacked immediately, throwing a volley of razor-sharp feathers at Inferno as his aura flared further, and they turned into nothing but ash. Then, flapping my wings forward as a large and powerful gust of sickle-shaped wind blades raced towards Inferno, I opened my mouth with large amounts of electricity building up, releasing the lightning seconds later at him.

All he did was bat them away with one of his wings. But, then, the wind sickles were gone dispelled even, and the lightning spider-webbed away from him, destroying parts of the training hall.

Inferno laughed," Impressive, very impressive indeed. Though I think it's time I finish this."

Grinning back, I replied," Yeah, I should finish this."

Light orbs appeared all around him, circulating in clockwise and counterclockwise rotations as Kirara laughed," Wow, that's impressive."

Inferno merely rose an eyebrow as the most significant pulse of power I have ever felt from him rippled outwards as he changed into a blue form. Then, in a melodic voice, he spoke," You are the first hatchling or any other dragon that has ever pushed me to use this form. You are on par with Kirara, no actually a bit stronger. I am ending this now."

Inferno, now in his sun form, waved one feathered wing obliterating all the light orbs instantly. I was shocked as he appeared in front of me in a massive pillar of flames. His temperature was scalding hot as he held a burning talon to my throat," Yield Xyverinos."

I stuttered," I-i yield."

Immediately the temperature dropped as he reverted to normal as he smiled, patting my head," Well done, Kirara, Breeze, Sun, Ameria, Slyrak, and Vesta, your assessment."

Kirara stepped up," I must say, he is at least on par with myself. His manipulation of elements is honestly on par with you, Inferno."

Inferno nodded," I concur with that completely."

Breeze stepped up this time," His timing and tactical mind have significantly increased when using magic, something I wish my youngest can do. I would honestly say he is a master of wielding magic."

Sun stepped up after Breeze stepped back," Like Breeze and my mate said, he has improved in all areas. However, he hasn't changed in mental and physical, which I find albeit shocking. What I find most impressive is his overall agility."

Inferno nodded," I was impressed with that as well, honestly."

Ameria sighed," You guys all stole what I was going to say minus for one thing. His mental power is honestly top-notch; I think it even surpasses your own Inferno."

Inferno sighed," Can't believe I am saying this, but yeah, I agree with that. But, now my pride is hurt."

Everyone laughed at that as

Slyrak laughed," I was impressed with his determination. That's all I am going to say."

Vesta sighed," I am overall impressed with what he has accomplish-"

An explosion from outside shook the entire mountain as Inferno grew annoyed," Curses, they came three months later. Alright, Xyverinos, do you want to fight with us for a bit."

Nodding my head determined as Inferno grinned," Cool, I want one thing to be clear, if I say you are to flee, you will flee; we cannot have you dying. That goes for you as well, Slyrak."

Slyrak nodded," Understood."

With that said, we all flew out of the training hall into the open air. Hovering above the mountain as a random earth dragon came up," Sir, your orders."

Inferno nodded," Of course. Use formation A. But stay back, let the equilibrium unit take point."

All the equilibriums came flying towards Inferno as I noticed two phoenixes in the group. Inferno ordered," Go full out, do not hold back even a little bit."

They all nodded as multiple pulses of power flared from each of them as Feather was in the group," Alright, let us lay waste to them."

As I watched, there were three miniature storms from Feather and her two twin sons; Territa became the ground beneath us. Next, Sun became a light form of himself as Moon became a shadow figure, Kirara and Bolt both became lightning storms as they began to wreak havoc. Next, the fire equipollences entered their forms of pure fire; Vesta, Sol, and Icarus all turned into giant flames of destruction. Finally, Breeze entered equilibrium and immediately released powerful and violent winds at the creatures in the sky.

Slyrak grinned," Father, I have your permission to use the full power of both equilibrium forms?"

Inferno nodded," Of course you do; show them what you can do."

Slyrak grinned as he disappeared into a giant inferno double the size of the other one as I sensed the wind as I chuckled," Ah, so his fire is his main one, and his wind form strengthens his flames."

Preparing to help out, I yelled," POWER AMPLIFICATION TIMES TEN!"

All of the equipollence's power jumped times ten as I heard Slyrak say in his mind,' Thanks for the power boost Xyverinos!'

Grinning, I spoke into his mind,' No problem.'

A very familiar dark shape appeared as I spoke," Inferno, I want to fight Unla; you fight the other one."

Inferno nodded," Alright. Good luck, and remember when I tell you to flee, flee. I will hold them back long enough for you guys to escape."

Nodding in understanding, I flew up into the air as Unla followed me immediately. He still had that infuriating smirk on his face as he grinned," Shall we get stronger. Xyverinos."

Without a word, I nodded as he unleashed tremendous pressure as I did the same.
