Mummy loves you baby

My heart hammered in my chest continually. What does this freak want with me? Is he trying to kill me and my mum? 

He walked towards our car slowly but disappeared into thin air when people crowded the car checking if we survived or not. It seems like no other person could see him except me and my mum. 

We stepped out of the car and thankfully we didn't have any serious injuries just a few scratches here and there and people began to leave slowly when they realized the accident wasn't fatal. My mum called her insurance company who took the damaged car away then she called out driver who drove us to the hospital and back home.

When we arrived home my mum didn't say a word neither did I. We were both lost in our thoughts and I slowly made my way to my room without eating any food.

Who's this man and what does he want with me? I thought as hot water cascaded down my body. the water seems to release the tension I had. 

At first I thought he was just a figment of my dreams but now I've come to realize he was real. I have to tell my mum about this.

I stepped out of the bathroom and wore my pyjamas getting ready for bed when I heard a knock on the door and my mum's head popped through the opening.

"Can I come in honey?" She asked.

"Sure mum come in" I replied.

She sat down on the edge of my bed. We both stared at each other not saying a word untill I spoke up .

"Mum , what's happening to me? To us? Is someone trying to kill us?" I asked with tears threatening to spill out of my eyes.

My mum grabbed my head and placed it on her chest as she stroked my hair slowly.

"Don't say that dear, nobody is trying to kill us" she said as she tried to calm me down.

"Is this the reason why you never allowed me to go out of the house? I was dumb mum, you were trying to protect me but I've always hated you for it. This is not the first time I'm seeing that man".

"What do you mean by that dear?" My mum asked. She looked scared .

"I see him in my dreams every night. He keeps telling me i can't run away from my destiny. At first I thought it was just normal nightmares that I couldn't grow out of until I saw him today in the girl's bathroom. I think he tried to kill me but I thought I was just hallucinating but the accident proves everything wasn't just my imagination, he's real and he is trying to kill me to kill us mother" I burst into tears grabbing unto her tightly.

" Calm down dear. As long as am here nothing can hurt you ok? Look into my eyes Ariana, I want you to know that no matter what happens to me always remember that mummy loves you baby never ever forget that" she said and kissed my forehead crying.

She removed a weird necklace from her neck and wore it for me.

" No matter what happens I want you to always keep this necklace on, it will protect from everything you hear me?" She said looking into my eyes. I could see the love she had for me pouring out of her eyes.

"Don't talk like that mum. It sounds like your last words or something" I said looking annoyed and she laughed softly.

"Whatever dear " she replied and tried to stand up when I held her hand back.

"Please stay with me tonight. I don't want to be alone". I said looking pleadingly at her.

"Sure dear".

So me and my mum snuggled under the blanket and she held me in her arms and I slowly fell asleep feeling a strange sense if peace. 

Suprisely, I had a dreamless sleep , I didn't dream of that scary man again for the first time in a long while.....
