ALEXANDER POV
Seating in my dimly lit chamber, surrounded by the black and red decorations of a bygone era. The candles flicks as it cast the shadows on the walls while I stared into the flames, lost in thought. My mind was consumed by the one thing that had been holding me for centuries , my fated mate.
Tok Tok
A soft knock at the door broke the silence, followed by the voice of my loyal advisor/servant Xaiter. "Your Majesty, I have arrived with the latest news from in castle."
I nodded not bothering to turn around. " You may enter, Xaiter."
The door creaks open and Xaiter's tall figure enters into the room. His pale face with red eyes were fixed on me with an unwavering loyalty.
"What news do you bring me, Xaiter?" I asked,
Xaiter bowed his head deeply, his eyes cast down ward in respect. "Your Majesty, Lord Cadoc requests a meeting with you and the other lords regarding the new human slaves that were brought to the castle today."
I waved my hand dismissively, not bothering to look up from the flames dancing in the fireplace. "We both know, Xaiter that I do not care what Cadoc and the other lords do to the slaves. They are nothing but property, after all. Tell Cadoc and the others that they may do as they please with the slave and I wish to be left alone."
Xaiter hesitated, "But, Your Majesty, perhaps it would be wise to.. "
Cutting him up with a sharp gesture. "I said I wish to be left alone, Xaiter. Do not question my word." my inner beast stirred restlessly, sensing the darkness growing within me. But I paid it no mind, pushing it deep down into the back of my mind.
Xaiter bowed again, his face expressionless. "As you wish, Your Majesty. I will inform Lord Cadoc and the others of your decision." he left .
My name is Alexander Wang, the King of the World, For centuries, I had ruled over the supernatural races with an iron fist, my power unmatched and my reign unchallenged. The weight of my years bore down upon me, with the accumulation of memories and experiences that continue to consume me at times.
My gaze wandered around the space of my chamber, the flickering candles that casts the shadows on the walls But My mind however was elsewhere, lost in the corridors of my own thoughts. The fire crackled a soothing melody that seemed to lull the world into submission.
My name was whispered in awe and terror by the supernatural creatures that inhabited this world. I am the full blooded vampire king, the one who had brought order to the chaos that had once reigned. And yet, despite all that I had achieved, I felt empty.
Fifteen years ago, my inner beast had grown deranged fed by the endless wait for my fated mate. The loneliness had consumed me, driving me to madness. I had lost control, slaughtering anyone who dared approach me. The supernatural world trembled at the mere mention of my name.
The great war had begun, sparked by my moment of weakness. Some supernaturals had seen it as an opportunity to overthrow me and to reveal our existence to humans. Chaos erupted, and I had been forced to fight to maintain control.
In the end, I had emerged victorious, but the damage was already done. Humans knew of our existence, and I had been forced to take drastic measures to maintain order so, I ruled the world, a tyrant king, feared by all. But deep down, the ache of loneliness remained, a reminder of the mate I had yet to find.
stepping out of my chamber, I am immediately struck by a captivating aroma that moves through the air. It was a scent that I had never encountered before, yet it felt so familiar. The sweet fragrance of roses mingled with the earthy undertones of the forest is transporting me to a place of serenity and wonder.
My vampire senses heightened by my nature, drank in the scent, and I felt my heart stir with excitement. "Could this be a sign? A hint that my fated mate was finally within reach?"
I followed the scent, my long strides devouring the distance as I made my way through the castle's corridors. The scent grew stronger, leading me to a door that I knew to be the entrance to the slave quarters.
My hand hesitated on the door handle, a thrill of anticipation coursing through my veins. "What would I find on the other side of this door? "Would it be the one I had been searching for, the one whose scent had captivated me so?
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what was to come. And then, with a quiet click, I opened the door and stepped inside.
As I stepped into the room, a sudden collision occurred as a body crashed into mine. Sparks flew around us, and I instinctively wrapped my arms around the person to steady them. The scent of roses and forest enveloped me, and I felt a jolt of electricity run through my veins.
Looking down, I was met with the most striking green eyes I had ever seen. They sparkled like emeralds in the dim light, and I felt myself drowning in their depths. My own eyes normally a piercing blue, turned a deep crimson red a sign of my vampire nature showing itself.
My mate green eyes flashed with fear and confusion. "Get away from me!" spat my mate trying to wriggle free from my grasp.
"Your Majesty, I am sorry for the inconveniences, the slave was trying to escape" a guard intervened, their voice firm but cautious.
My mate eyes darted to the guard, then back to me. "Y-you're the king," he stammered his voice trembling.
Suddenly, my mate tried to make a run for it, but I was quick too as I tightened my grip holding him in place.
But that is when it hit me that the mate I had been longing for my fated mate was a male and not just any male, but a human slave. The realization was like a punch to the gut leaving me breathless and disoriented.
My mate struggled against me, his eyes wide with fear. "Let me go!" he demanded.
"Stop fighting me, slave " I growled my voice low and husky.
My mate eyes flashed with hatred but he slowly ceased his struggles and I loosen my grip, but didn't let him go.
my vampire instincts is screaming at me to claim him as mine But do I really want a human male as I mate .
