As Althea, Fiona, and Carolina ventured deeper into the unknown, the shadows of the dense forest clung to the edges of the path. The air was thick with tension, each step echoing with uncertainty.
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the foliage ahead, a woman holding a hunting gun. She appeared strong and bulky, an air of resilience about her. The woman eyed them cautiously, the barrel of the gun trained on their presence.
"Who goes there?" she demanded, her gaze flickering between the three strangers.
Althea, taking the lead, raised her hands in a gesture of peace. "We mean no harm. We're lost and seeking refuge."
Fiona nodded in agreement, her expression mirroring Althea's plea. "Please, we're innocent and just trying to find a safe place."
Carolina, ever watchful from within Althea, whispered, "Plead with sincerity. She can sense your intentions."
