Uncovering Secrets
Marion gasped at the words Leah had just said. She seemed familiar with such terms. However, the reason why they said that was what Marion had not understood until now.
"Then tell me what you know, Leah. I'd really like to hear it.
Leah wasn't at all offended by what Marion had to say. She just smiled and then asked the girl again. "What do you want to hear, Marion? You may ask. This time, I'm not going to limit myself. It's just, you know . . . we don't have much time."
When Leah said that she was willing to explain everything, Marion felt that she got light on the problem that had been a secret that Jeremiah had been trying to bury deep down.
"Okay. First of all, I want to know about caste. Why do I also belong to the same caste as Will?" asked Marion, already getting into a stance ready to listen to Leah's explanation. Think of it as a lecture session and a reason from the lecturer that she must listen carefully.
