A plume of smoke surrounded Ange's residence, shortly after she ordered William to enter and protect Marion. Ange fearlessly faced it alone, for she knew who was coming and for what purpose.
She asked William to hide Marion to prevent the pale skin to have the girl, which might be dangerous for the survival of William and his flock.
After all, Marion is very valuable, maybe not only for William but also for Drake who is a clanless vampire. He also needs Marion to produce offspring and form a colony for himself.
That was what Ange was trying to avoid from happening.
The puff of smoke slowly descended, then formed three charming figures who were not much different from Drake. Their pale skin gleamed like porcelain in the moonlight. A woman escorted by two men with a posture capable of crushing a deer alone.
