"Griphook can you give me the detail about the inheritance from the Gaunt family."
Harry gets a parchment from the Griphook consisting of books about Legimency, Occlumency, dark arts, and Wand-lore. It contains some amount of gold which is nothing compared to his other houses and it is expected that they don't have much money as they are broke during their downfall.
"There is one more thing, Harry."
Griphook said after giving him one more parchment.
"It is a marriage contract set between House Gaunt and House Carrow which is made by Lord Carrow and Lord Gaunt which is Tom Riddle."
"Carrow family is the supporter of Voldemort."
Sirius said this before Harry grab the parchment.
After, Harry grabs the parchment, and when he read the letter he is surprised, shocked, and horrified by the content of the parchment. It is not the marriage contract, it is the slavery contract. This contract pretty much takes all of their rights as a human beings and their only purpose is to give the heir and look after them. They have to do everything their husband said to them without any hesitation. The contract has a similar effect as of imperious curse and make his absolute control over them.
"I WANT TO DISSOLVE THIS CONTRACT."
Harry said in quite a loud voice.
"What happen Harry?"
Sirius asked.
"It is not a marriage contract, it is a slavery contract. I don't want any slave, even if they are related to death eaters or death eaters themselves."
"I am sorry Harry. You can't dissolve this contract as it has a clause that it is only dissolved by the Tom Riddle himself and if someone else tried to do, he or she will going lose their magic."
"But this contract"
Griphook cut him in the middle of his sentence as he knows what he is going to say.
"As I said the dissolving is out of the question but there is a way to solve your problem. But I recommend you to discuss it with your solicitors to know that everything is safe, before doing this."
"I will discuss it with others, so can you tell me what is the solution."
Harry doesn't know why Griphook wants him to discuss this with the others but he trusted Griphook. If he is telling him to talk to others before doing it then there is something risky or something he is not that much of knowledge of.
"As you are now the new Lord Gaunt, you have the right to change the contract to satisfy your need, but it also has its risks and limitations. You can't change the names present in the contract as you are the only Gaunt. You can change the content of the contract but it is a one-time thing and can't be changed again."
Harry then looked toward Sirius and Moony who were sitting beside him. When Griphook saw Harry's face he said.
"Harry, you can take a few days to think about the contract and give us the answer about how to proceed. We are going to be quiet until you give us your answer but you have to answer before next month."
"Thank you, Griphook."
"It is my duty. Now, is there anything more you want to ask me?"
"No"
"Then I bid my farewell."
Griphook said that and go out of the room and they followed behind him. After they left the room, they went to Leaky cauldron.
At the Leaky cauldron, Harry and Moony bid their farewell to Sirius and went to Hogwarts while Sirius went to Potter Manor.
Sirius took the marriage contract copy with him so that he can discuss this issue with Andromeda, Ted, and Nymphadora. Harry also has one copy with him to tell this matter to the girls and he also wants to tell them about today's adventure.
Sirius told him that he is going to find out more about the Carrow family so that they can decide what changes they have to make. If they can be trusted or not, is also one of the worries.
Harry and Remus then floo to the headmaster's office similar to before when they floo from Hogwarts to Potter Manor but there is one change this time, Dumbledore is present in his office, and looks like he is waiting for them.
