Aurora pulled away from Adrian's grasp, a shocked expression crossing her face. She couldn't believe what she was hearing, and what felt worse was it coming from the person she cared so deeply for. He was the last person she had expected to say something like that. "I can't believe this," she muttered, and Adrian watched as her expression shifted from anger to a look of disappointment as she shook her head.

"Azrael was right," she whispered, and Adrian's eyes widened on hearing that name. His fingers twitched, an old reflex from his days as a swordsman when he was training to become a knight, but he kept his composure. "Humans are disgusting," she added, turning to face him.

"What do you mean?" He asked, trying to keep his voice as steady as possible.

"They use and discard others as they please, they kill and pillage for no reason, they destroy the good around the world. They are the real monsters," she continued, her voice growing more and more angry.
