Or will acknowledge them at the right time and fight back against the darkness, protecting the imperials? ***** "You waited so long for me?" She asked, leaning away from the cuddle to face him. Her blue eyes gazed curiously at the earthy-hue eyes, seeking for answers.   The light from the full moon fell on her face enhancing the features, making the moon envious of her.  The man nodded, stroking a strand of her silky hair behind her ear.  "How did you know I will fall for you?" She asked in her soft voice. He chuckled at her innocence.  "Just one of those feelings," he replied.  A smile appeared on her face listening to his words and she let her fall into his brown eyes, again.  He leaned closer to her gorgeous face, gleaming under the moonlight and whispered, "Let the two swans mate beneath starry night, let the feelings overwhelm us in delight, let me make you mine forever…in this blue light." With that he pulled her closer to him and marked on her neck, making her as his forever. ~~~~~ The cover is not mine and the rights belong to its truthful owner. Begin of Tier 2 Exam

The day of the council's tier two exam arrived. All candidates gathered in front of the council office. Along with everyone, Evelyn waited for the announcement in her trousers as well. When she had arrived, she experienced judging eyes on her for the clothes she wore but she didn't bother about the stares as well as the comments.

She noticed there weren't many candidates for the second exam. For the first tier, there was a huge crowd but now there were around fifteen to twenty candidates. She wondered if the tier one exam was easy as they say then why there aren't many candidates here.

She glanced around and her eyes glued on the brown-eyed man. Unusual feelings began to develop in her. Her heartbeats raised again but this time she determined herself to not let her feelings overwhelm her and concentrate on the examination.

"Congratulations for clearing tier one exam, Miss Evelyn." She heard a soft female voice addressing her. Turning in the direction of the voice, she saw a pair of familiar eyes, smiling widely at her.

"Thanks, Ana. Congratulations to you too," Evelyn replied with a smile.

"I must say you are brave to wear these clothes and come out of the house without fearing about society," she said, looking up at her.

"It's a matter of comfort. We all know the council's second exam will be a physical task and performing them in the gown would be bothersome," Evelyn replied.

"I agree," she said.

"Good morning everyone or rather hope you have a good day at the end of the task." Evelyn heard the voice of the announcer. He was the same man who was instructing them during the last exam.

Everyone gathered around him and paid their full attention. Glancing at the attentive eyes, the announcer continued, "As you all are already aware that council tier two exam is performing a task, without beating around the bush I start explaining the task.

There will be five groups of four candidates each. Each group needs to find the imposter who is among you. How many impostors are they, who are they or in which group are they, no one knows. It's up to you all whom to trust and whom not to.

And mind you all, the council will not be held responsible for whatever happens during the task. Anyone wants to back off, they are permitted to do so. You have been given five minutes to decide and after that, you will have to join no matter what."

"Only a coward would back off," someone behind Evelyn said with a snort. She turned around and noticed his red eyes which implied he was a pureblood vampire.

"Yeah yeah, young man. We all will know how brave you are once the task begins," the announcer replied.

"So no one wants to back off I presume." Seeing no movement in front of him, he continued, "Alright, let's begin the task. Check the list displayed on the notice board and stand in front of the carriage that has the same numbers, written in front of your names. It will take you to the task location and further instructions will be provided there. Of course not by me as I have bigger fish to fry later."

With that, the crowd dispersed. Evelyn strolled towards the notice board and saw number four against her name. She went out where the line of carriages waited for the candidates. There were candidates in front of every carriage except for one, which was hers.

She stood in front of it and waited for her teammates. Glancing around, she found out Ana was in group two and just behind her was the brown-eyed man in group one. Discovering that he won't be around her to make her anxious, she let out a relaxing sighing.

"Relaxed that you are with me, young lady."

She heard a man's voice and raised her head to see who he was. A man with grey eyes and grey hair stood in front of her, glancing down at her with playful eyes. She looked at him in a perplexed manner.

"I am Felix. Your teammate for today's task," he introduced himself.

"Greetings. Myself, Evelyn," she replied with a polite smile.

"Evelyn," he repeated her name scrunching his brows and added, "your name sounds familiar."

"Maybe. It's a common name," she replied, not wanting to disclose her identity and make him feel awkward.

"I see," he replied. "Well then let's wait for the other two candidates," he added.

Evelyn nodded to him. A few minutes later, she saw a man walking towards them. He introduced himself as Gilbert and they waited for their fourth member.

Patience vanished looking at the carriage leaving one after the other and there wasn't any news about the fourth candidate.

"What the heck whoever it is, is doing?" Gilbert said in annoyance as he saw the fourth carriage leaving.

As soon as the words left his mouth a lean man came into their sight, strolling towards them with an extremely confused face.

"I wonder how he is going to survive," Felix commented looking at his thin muscles to which Gilbert snorted.

"I am extremely sorry. I got lost," the lean man said to which everyone looked at him with an unbelievable stare wondering how one can be lost way out of the council which made him look foolish.

"It's alright. Happens," Evelyn said, smiling ruefully trying to make him feel better.

Hearing her, the lean man smiled widely and said, "I am Derek and you?"

"Evelyn," she replied politely.

Without wasting further any moment, they all hopped into the carriage, departing for the task location.
