Leaving the Nest

"Yeah! …" Nelphy hesitated. Her smile half faded a few steps away from the front door. "Bil. I'll visit you."

Chuckling, Bil walked up to Nelphy and Jash, nudging them toward the door. "I know you will, Nelphy. And I'll be here. I might leave every now and then to enjoy nature, but this is where I live now. And you'll be living over there, just past those walls. That's not too far away, so don't get too caught up with visiting me and halt your new life by accident. Understood?"

"Understood," Nelphy chortled nervously.

"I'll visit, but probably not as often."

A little surprised, Bil patted Jash's shoulder. "Alright, I'll be here. I look forward to hearing about your new training regime."

"If you get too lazy, it'll be too easy to surpass you," Jash joked, getting everyone to break out in laughter. "Hey, it wasn't that funny…"

"Right, right…" Nelphy needed a moment to calm down.
