Feerah's Test

Cough, cough!

Jash managed to get back on his feet but barely kept his breathing steady. He used his falling momentum to roll, lessening the damage as much as possible.

"Nice adjustment!" Feerah cackled, pulling back her kick and returning to her neutral stance.

"You're better at hand-to-hand combat than using weapons?" Jash inferred, thinking back to her kick's sudden change in direction.

But Feerah shook her head. "Nah. I try to fight with anything, including my bare arms and legs. You just left your shoulder open, so I thought I'd kick there instead."

"Yet you stopped the kick before hitting my knee and swung it down onto my shoulder, all in a split second? That's not common for people that specialize in weapons," Jash insistently reasoned. "I'm not giving up or stopping. I just wanted to ask. This is your way of getting to know each other, right?"
