"Meeting" With An Emperor

"Huhhh… Humanity's largest city. The capital of the Frihet, humanity's most powerful safe haven… Does Rangar still hold up to that reputation? Does Frihet?"

Staring out the window of his carriage, Tiberius Frantoch sighed and watched as civilians went about their days, preparing for the night's meal before the sun went down.

There was no one else in the carriage to keep Tiberius company. But that's what Tiberius had ordered. This way, at the very least, Tiberius used his week and a half of travel as time to think, ponder, and possibly plan for various matters that pertained to his many positions and responsibilities.

The caravan had entered the city a few hours ago and they were finally reaching their destination.

As soon as Tiberius spotted the fire-red gates up ahead, he dropped his casual glare and put on a professional, stern expression. Just then, the caravan came to a halt.
