24. Battle of orb holders

I enter the room of Dr. leo, he has black hair, the hairs are standing as if he got an electric shock, wearing an eye patch on the left eye, a white coat and black trousers like anyone would imagine the outfit of a scientist, average height and somewhere in his mid fifties.

"WELCOME!" He screams, "Have you ever thought of a person becoming one with the twilight orb?"

"Well you'll see it now! My greatest invention!"

We both teleport as he pressed a button on his desk.

I found myself in the middle of a stone Colosseum, with no one on the field but me, and Leomord on the other side. He's holding a twilight orb and dark aura starts to emit from his hands.

Twilight orb lets out even brighter light as if it's reacting with the aura on his hand, Leomord grabs the orb with both hands, shaking the earth furiously, and after some time, I see him engulfed in flame of black colour.

His eyes were glowing in black, his armor turns pitch-black, as if it has emerged with the darkness itself, giving out furious evil aura, and his weapon, even darker and looks like it's ready to swallow any light upon appearance.

I tried to calm myself down, but at this point it seems impossible, I have to defeat him, no matter the cost.

He rushed towards me, in such a speed I didn't even see him coming. He barely gave me the time to unsheathe my sword but I still manage to block his attack with it.

I step back to create distance but he keeps swinging his Lance towards me continuously, I parry every one of the attack with my swords, but definitely he's winning the fight at this point, I fall on the ground unable to defend his continuous barrage of attacks, I cast quad shadow and teleport in and out whenever I can to confuse him, while trying to land few hits on him but he casually blocks them with his weapon.

Then he got the chance and slashed my upper body in a swift movement, but it didn't affect my skin as I wore a thin armor of orichalcum inside my clothes, orichalcum is one of the finest metal which can be found in Land of Dawn.

As we were simultaneously crossing blades with each other and he almost worn me out, I felt my own heartbeat for a split second. I touched my chest and my swords started to glow in bright purple light, I felt like massive source of energy is flowing through my veins, it's the same as first time I touched the twilight orb! I heard a voice of someone in my head "I'll be always there with you." Is it the voice of Lunox?

I don't know, but now I have to worry about Leomord first, my body starts to move automatically, so fast that I can't even keep up with myself.

I continuously attack Leomord with both of my sword while he tries to defend it, but my speed is at the finest state and I can clearly see he's having a hard time now, I managed to go through his defense and land multiple hits on the armor, then he steps back and raises his sword upwards. Summoning the horse from other side like last time we met, the horse is also wearing a pitch black armor, and now dashing towards me at full force!

But that won't stop me now, I merge with my own shadow and quickly appear in front of the horse, cutting all of its legs in an instant, making it unable to move anymore.

Leomord seems surprised by what I did, but all he shows is a sign of anger.

We both rush towards each other, clashing our weapons, making a huge clang. I sent his weapon flying in the air, he's unarmed now. I stab his chest with all my strength I can use, piercing through his armor and his whole body.

He's dead. It's over, it's all over!

Dr. Leo seems to panic and teleported himself out somewhere, I find myself back in V.E.N.O.M. headquarters again, I sat down on floor and found myself being surrounded by everyone, no casualties during this battle! Also Gusion was there too.

"Sorry, I let Dr. Leo escape." I say

"You don't have to apologise, you are the MVP of this operation! You took down their greatest weapon." Says fanny.

As long as light exists, so does the shadow.

Wonder if Dr. Leo will rise again.

If they do, when they do, rise again, we'll be prepared to exterminate them once and for all.

This is an endless war, a war of hope, a war of despair. But, if even if there's no way to win, no way to purify the evil and no way to stop it.

There's one thing we can do.

We will.
