18. Frostborn Paladin

A giant portal, dark in appearance, appeared in front of us. Every single one of us, even though we didn't know what it was, what was going come, or what was going to happen, knew one thing - it was evil.

Out of the portal, came a man who seems to have long hair, as white as the ice.

He wore an armor fit for a noble knight yet as durable as a diamond. The armor, plated with silver of the finest quality and covered with crystals that shined like the stars. His weapon looked somewhat of a lance, middle ranged and also covered with crystals.

He raised his weapon upwards and from the portal, came out his army.

After the entire army had arrived, both sides just stared at each other. It was the silence before the storm. Both sides knew we can't avoid this without casualties.

He gave a sign to his army which made all of them rush forward at full force, seeing that, all of Alaster's men clashed with them. I knew i can't just stand and watch them, so I unsheathe both of my sword and waited for my chance to dive in.

It was a war at that point, it's been a while since the clash started, all I can hear is sound of sword and shields clashing into each other. But I don't see anyone from their side get injured, then I spotted someone besides the knight, it was a healer!

I knew something has to be done, I merged myself with my own shadow, quickly appearing behind the healer to his surprise, immediately slashing him twice while he drops on the floor afterwards.

The knight raises his sword upwards once again, and shouts: "Barbiel!" As something starts to appear from the other side, in middle of the clash.

What came out a creature what seems to be a horse, white in colour, wearing similar armor as the knight, and leaves traces of ice as it rushes towards the knight in high speed while letting out an aura which makes Alaster's men fall on ground.

The knight jumps on the horse as they get closer, I go back to the battlefield to clash swords with the knight, as Alaster's men seems to have trouble dealing with the horse, that horse is indeed powerful, it'll be hard to hold him even with two people

Alaster and his other men appeared when the fight was intense, they proceeded to join but that's when the ground started to quake, the object in middle of the giant crystals started to glow, rising high in the air and engulfed itself in flames of ice, turning itself into an ice phoenix as the legend said.

It started flying in the area in extreme high speed, freezing the whole area in an instant, the knight seemed to have a bit of immunity against it, and he teleported himself out while rest of us stayed frozen.
