Journey begins

It wasn't too soon that the entire guild had learned of Marcos intentions to travel. While many understood his reasoning, there was also those who opposed. Many raised their voice hoping to change Marcos's mind. Those included Erza, Lucy, Gray, Cana, Wakaba, and Macao. They argued that traveling alone after such an event wasn't good for his health. Marco certainly did understand their skepticism, but he could not be swayed. He asked his friends not to be sad, but to instead be happy that he is moving on with his life in a positive way. Hearing his excitement over getting to see more of the world, those who had voiced their opposition slowly accepted it, and for a long week, those at the fairy tail guild partied and celebrated their friend.

A week of celebrating and joy came and passed. Soon came the day of departure and though he was leaving, he wasn't saying goodbye.

" I guess it's time huh?"

" Yeah, It's time. I'm sorry mira." Marco said as he pulled the woman closer to him.

" Hey Marco let me come with ya." Natsu said

" No, Natsu. I need you here keeping everyone safe. Ya got it?"

" Yeah, yeah!" Natsu said

Marco stands up and gives Mira one last tender kiss before heading towards the center of the guild hall.

" ALRIGHT! Everyone! It's time to go. I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST! AND. MIRAJANE STRAUSS! I LOVE YOU!" Marco yelled raising his fist in the air.

" YEAHHHHH!" the guild yelled

Marco then took one more glance at mirajane to see the woman crying.

" This isn't goodbye. This is I'll see you again." Marco said as he gave the woman a warm smile before departing the guild hall.

Once he was gone the cheers of laughter and joy was overturned by the sounds of crying and pain. The guild members already knowing where it's coming from and couldn't help but be sad for the young woman who has already suffered so much.

I hate having to do this, but I need to find a way to get stronger, and those legendary beasts Zapdos spoke of could greatly boost my power. Marco thought as he looked back one last time at his guild hall.

The journey begins now!

2 Weeks after leaving the guild, Marco made his way to the south-east of the capital crocus. arriving in a small village, just near the eastern mountains.

" Ah a new village. I Don't think this one is on the maps." Marco says as he took a map out of his traveling bag. " Nope! Maybe I should be careful." Marco said before he entered the village.

As Marco approached the gate, he felt a dark and sinister aura suddenly rush forward, causing the man to jump back into a battle stance.

" What the hell was that!" Marco said. It felt like death itself had just rushed over me. There's something going on in this village. Marco thought. I don't know what that was, but there's only one way to find out. " Guess I'm going in. Mira watch over me." Marco said as he once again approached the entry gate.

As he approached the gate the dreaded feeling came back. This time however, Marco pushed through and suddenly found himself in the middle of the town.

" Huh!?" I don't remember coming this far in. What happened? Marco asked himself.

" Hello sir!" A voice called from behind marco

" Ah hello young lady. Can you tell me where I am?" Marco asked

" Sure! This is the village of hateshinai yume."

" Hateshinai yume, Is that right?" That means endless dream, ok now I really am worried. " I'm sorry miss?"

" kaguya!" kaguya was a young lady with black hair, pink eyes, and small in everything

" Well, miss Kaguya, do you mind telling me what's going on in the village."

" Going on? What do you mean?"

" Nothing, guess I'm just a little tired after a long journey." Marco said. Guess I'll have to play along.

" Ah! If you're tired, we have a residence for travelers. I can show you the way if you want."

" I would really appreciate it." Marco said

As they walked through the streets Marco observed the looks on the other villagers faces, all of them seeming devoid of life, as if they were nothing more than hollow shells.

Why does everyone here look like they're dead, but this girl? Marco wondered before taking notice of a dark presence coming from one of the buildings

" Excuse me Miss kaguya, but what is that building right there?" Marco asked as he pointed to the building emanating the darkness. This caused the woman to twitch a little, something marco took notice of. Oh, great now I know exactly where i need to go. Marco thought

" That is village chiefs' residence, outsiders are forbidden there unless they are invited in." Kaguya said

" I see. Is there any way I can request an audience with the chief?" Marco asked

" Not really. The chief doesn't really like to mingle with outsiders, so when shows up he usually hides away in his home."

" Is that right? Oh well."

In the chief's residence

" Ah! That's the one who killed Zapdos. I need to be careful with this one. Anyone strong enough to kill one of the legendary beasts is definitely strong enough to take care of a pseudo like me. Either way this should be fun. Huh!?" Darkrai says as he sees the man staring right at him. " Does he know I'm here? Impossible, I have my energy hidden. No, I need to kill him fast." Darkrai says as he sneaks back into the shadows.

Back to marco

" SO, this is the guest house huh? Well, thank you very much miss Kaguya."

" It was my pleasure Mr."

After getting inside and setting his stuff down marco began to realize what was going on.

" I know I felt a presence in the chief's residence. But what it is I don't know. There's only one way I'm going to find out though and boy do I get the feeling I'm gonna regret it."
