Hilda had no choice but to believe Reeva's words. However, the more she became aware of Reeva's capabilities, the more mysterious his existence seemed.
"Are you just leaving Arthur there? Why not bring him with us and train him to become a mystic?"
"His power is too weak; training him manually would take far too long an investment. It'd be better if he came to us after he completed his training."

There were pros and cons to both approaches, and Reeva chose to wait it out. He needed people, sure, but the old man still had his obligations to his knight order and was the most authoritative figure now that Gully had died.
Arthur would likely want to settle all of Gully's assets before dismissing the knight order. They could still be transferred to the new landowner, and some of the knights might not feel the same when serving another master.
