Special Chapter Three

Macy is vaguely aware of Andrew busy banging at his laptop all morning but she did not pry. Instead, she sat before the tv munching a bag of chocolate chips contentedly watching a soap opera. On the other hand, Marcus is so engrossed in the new Lego toy he got from his dad, Andrew, and he never gets his eyes off the toy since then.

Above the noise of the tv and their son’s small squeals as he slowly makes the Lego, she heard an occasional chuckle or a small yelp of cheer from the man behind her.

The ending music of the drama came on and she sat up to stretch languidly. A nap is in order, she decides but she is too lazy to move from where she is now.

‘Maybe I can get my husband to carry me to bed…’ Macy contemplated seriously.

“Love, would you like to come over here for a minute? I have something to show you.” Andrew spoke up. She struggles to her feet and plodded to where the man is seated hunched over his laptop.
