Chapter Ninety Five

Macy arrived at the court around half-past eleven in the morning. She thought that the trial was over, so she just chose to wait in the car. She texted her lawyer and Ken, saying that she was in the courthouse parking lot. She will probably talk to Hani for a while first, before talking to her ex-husband.

Then a message entered the message box.

From: Author Ken Reyes

I'll meet you at the café near the courthouse.

Well, after the divorce, she changed Ken's contact name to be more professional. Same when their relationship was still limited to editors and writers. She had thought to replace it with 'Marcus’ dad', but it seemed so awkward. Before long, a message from Hani also came in.

From: Lawyer Hani Kim

Almost complete.

Do you want to meet me first or talk to your ex-husband directly?

I can give you a brief explanation of what was discussed today after your conversation with Ken.

She then typed a reply to her lawyer.
