"Dad!"

"You can't do this to me. Don't punish me this way I beg of you."

"You have to stay alive and argue with me!"

"You still have a business to run, I'm not going to do that for you."

"I have enough on my plate, you can't lose to me, you're my only worthy opponent."

I tried to remain calm and collected until the ambulance that came to pick my father left for the hospital.

"Why are you so adamant about not running the company? Dad is obviously giving you all the family's gold." James asked rather nicely.

"Well I won't be around for long, so I don't see a reason to run the company and by the way I don't want my success to get attributed to the family." I responded without sparing him a look.

"Where are you going that you are saying you won't be around for long?" My younger brother, Evans asked.

"Shouldn't you be bothered about father who is on the verge of death?"

"He is about to leave his entire fortune in my name and I'm sure you both don't want that to happen." I said with a grin.

"I wish you would just disappear." James muffled under his breath

Ohh, I had judged James wrong, I thought he finally outgrew his hatred, it's a shame that he only grew in age and stature but retained his immaturity.

"Don't worry, I will." I replied halfheartedly

They left for the hospital immediately after hearing me say that.

I watched them leave then I also left for home. Yes, I didn't go to the hospital, I have a lot on my hands right now. My company's reputation has been damaged and I need to fix it. I would probably visit him tomorrow after the press conference.

It was already morning; I had barely slept before the alarm rang. It was already 7:00 am.

The press conference is by 10:00 am.

Make sure to come early; I have sent the script to your email. Review it while you have breakfast.

It was already time for work, time went by really quickly. I drove to work myself and got there an hour to the conference.

Eddy met me at the entrance with a big smile on his face. It was really like him to smile happily and somehow he always managed to brighten up my day.

"The reporters are already settled in the conference room." Eddy said

"Okay let's go have some coffee and review the script together." I replied

Time went by quickly; I concluded the conference and was finally able to breathe some fresh air. I was so tensed since yesterday's incidence but now the problem had been put away and our stock prices were finally rising again.

I had announced that the construction would continue after one week, we gave everyone a break to get over the incidence.

As I was leaving the company for the hospital, I met the son of the company's second largest shareholder who had been eyeing my position for long.

"Why do you keep causing the company troubles? And how long do we have to put up with your never ending drama?" He asked with a scheming look on his face. I didn't like his eyes, he was getting too bold, I'll have to do something about that.

"For as long as I live." I replied with a smile

"I don't think anyone would tolerate your drama anymore. Why don't you give up your sit for me; I can make you the vice president if you want." He said seriously

"Well, I personally don't think anyone would want you as president whether in the company or anywhere else." I replied and started walking away

I will make sure to remove you from that position I promise! He said almost screaming

"Good luck with that." I replied

The construction had resumed and would be completed latest, by weekend. I was so excited that I couldn't contain my joy. If only I knew what was in store for me when the machine was finally completed but like I already said I had nothing to lose.

Arrrrgh!

"Let me be, why are you trying to ruin my plans?"

I shouted at the top of my lungs, as I slowly looked up to this breathtaking man. His Silver hair flowing down to his waist, the blue eyes; mesmerising smile, I was spell bound.
