Aelorin stood frozen, unable to shake the feeling that something had seen through him completely. He cursed under his breath. "How did it know my name?" His thoughts churned, searching for explanations. "Could it be magic? No... this has to do with a Majestic Beast, doesn't it?" The possibility unsettled him. A beast with that kind of insight was dangerous, too dangerous. The mere thought of it chilled him.
"Hopefully unicorns can't talk," he muttered with a forced smirk, trying to mask his unease. "That's a win for me."
But then the system chimed in, interrupting his train of thought.
**{Level One Beast Tamer}**
**{Evolution skill unlocked}**
**Evolve anything by sharing your cells. There's a limit to what you can evolve.**
Aelorin's eyes lit up. "Bingo!" His heart pounded with excitement. This was no ordinary skill—it was a **S-rank skill**. The kind that could turn the tides of his fate. His mind raced with possibilities. "With this, I can evolve anything! Guns, buildings, clothes—hell, I could turn my knowledge of Earth into an endless money machine!" His grin widened. "It's not just about power or women anymore. People will pay fortunes for rare, useful things."
His fantasies were abruptly cut short by another notification.
**{I see you are incapable of proper thinking.}**
**{Would you like a test run of this skill?}**
Aelorin frowned, the system's cold, mocking tone grating on his nerves. "Test run? Sure," he grumbled, though deep down, he was wary. "But where the hell am I supposed to test it?" He cursed again, realizing he had no clue how long it might take or what exactly the system expected from him.
Moreover, he was lost. The supposed 'landmarks' he'd memorized when exploring the village were proving utterly useless.
"Fat trees… skim trees… silver leaves… rocky paths…" he muttered, looking around at the near-identical surroundings. It was a forest where everything looked the same—anyone could easily get lost in the maze of nature.
"Arianna's going to kill me for this."
After what felt like an eternity of wandering, Aelorin finally stumbled upon a group of grown-up elves who pointed him back toward the hot springs. When he got there, Arianna was already waiting, her face twisted with fury.
"Where the hell have you been?!" Before he could respond, she gave him a solid smack on the head, yanking his ear hard enough to make him wince. He couldn't argue. He'd screwed up big time, and Arianna had every right to be furious.
As they walked back home, Arianna's grip on his ear unrelenting, Aelorin sighed inwardly. **'So much for my freedom. I won't see the light of day for a while.'**
---
Night had fallen, and as expected, Aelorin was grounded for his reckless actions. His punishment felt deserved—after all, venturing into the village alone was incredibly stupid, given the danger that surrounded them as Lord's children and potential targets.
At least Lord Pound Pound was out handling business elsewhere, so the punishment wasn't as severe as it could have been.
Lying in bed, Aelorin stared at the ceiling. "Ten years and a few months in this world…" he muttered, rolling to his side and pulling his blanket tighter around him. His thoughts wandered to the more personal side of his life. **"And worst case scenario, I'm still a virgin."** Aelorin frowned at the thought, his self-pity settling in.
**{Not really.}**
"What?" Aelorin sat up, eyes wide in disbelief. "How could I not be—?" He stopped, a frown forming as memories surfaced. His early years with his parents as a **cell**. **'Wait, can we test out the skill in my cell?'** he wondered, thinking about the potential for experimentation.
**{Cell? What do you mean by cell?}**
"This is Juvie—it's like being put behind bars," Aelorin explained impatiently. "Do I need to spell it out for you?"
**{In that case, you can test out the ability. Open your window.}**
Confused but intrigued, Aelorin got out of bed and walked toward the barred window. Heavy metal bars reinforced it, put there specifically because of his rebellious behavior. He tugged the curtains aside, revealing the night outside.
**{Use your Beast Dominating Aura to attract a creature to climb up to you.}**
Aelorin wasn't exactly sure how to do that, but he extended his Beast Dominating Aura as far as it could reach, letting it pour out into the wilderness beyond the window. He waited, uncertain of what might respond.
After several minutes, something small and sleek appeared—a slim, agile figure climbing up the wall toward him.
**{Insight}**
**{Name: Grey Fox}**
*Level: None*
*Strengths: Speed, quick lunges, claws, alluring looks but dangerous intent*
*Weakness: Little to no intelligence*
The creature slipped through the bars with ease, its glossy fur catching the moonlight. Aelorin focused his Dominating Aura on the fox, commanding it to approach. It obeyed without hesitation, padding silently toward him.
As it neared, Aelorin placed a hand on its back, waiting for the system's next prompt.
**{To evolve this beast, you must share a portion of your cells—approximately one finger's worth.}**
"A finger's worth?" Aelorin muttered, unsure what that entailed. He hesitated, but curiosity got the better of him. "Fine. Let's do it."
What happened next was beyond anything he could've imagined.
His pinky finger dissolved, turning into a liquid that seeped into the grey fox's fur. Aelorin jerked his hand back in shock, staring at the stump where his pinky had been moments before.
"There's no pain..." he marveled, but the sight still disturbed him. "My pinky… it's gone!"
His attention snapped back to the fox as it began to change before his eyes. Steam rose from its body as it grew larger, its form warping and shifting. Unlike the grotesque, painful transformations seen in horror movies, this one was eerily graceful, like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon.
In mere moments, the grey fox was no more. In its place stood a stunning figure—a girl, with long white hair cascading down her back, her ears flopping slightly, and a fluffy tail swaying behind her. She had the same ethereal beauty of the fox, but now she looked around Aelorin's age, with soft, delicate features. Her large eyes blinked innocently in the moonlight, and her curvaceous, naked form shimmered under the stars.
Aelorin swallowed hard, his mind racing. **'This isn't happening.'**
"Uhm... who are you?" she asked in a soft, trembling voice, clutching her tail nervously.
Aelorin blinked. **'She's… a person now? What the hell did I just do?'** He quickly composed himself, knowing that first impressions were everything. **'Alright, stay calm. Be the Lord you're supposed to be.'**
He returned to his bed, sitting down with an air of authority, legs crossed. "I am Lord Aelorin," he said, his voice steady. "Or you can call me Dark Cell."
"Lord Aelorin..." she repeated softly, bowing her head. "What's my name, Lord?"
Aelorin hesitated for a moment. Naming her meant taking responsibility, establishing dominance. "What about… Alpha?" he suggested, stroking his chin thoughtfully.
Her face brightened instantly. "Thank you, Lord Aelorin!" she said, bowing again.
Aelorin smirked. **'I could get used to this.'**
**{You have successfully completed your first evolutionary slave.}**
**{You have gained two Beast Points.}**
**{You have gained one Evolution Point.}**
**{You have accomplished a new achievement: Created a race that does not exist in this world.}**
**{You have created Beast People.}**
Aelorin's mouth fell open, stunned. "What the hell… I just created a new race?"
