Wait! Does he like boys?

He walked outside the building where his room was and went to the next building. He climbed the wall and went up to the top window. This action of he's reminded him of a certain time when he was imprisoned in the Lynx clan.

He climbed higher and higher until he got to his destination. He hesitated before climbing into the window.

Titan who was still awake on her bed was reminiscing on what her day was going to be like tomorrow, heard sudden footsteps, silently took out the dagger that was on her side table, and pretended to be asleep.

She heard someone by her window but then, the person hesitated a little before jumping into her room.

Zagan drew closer to Titan and just as Titan tightened her grip on the dagger and was about to attack, but he reached out to her.

'Cut the crap. I know you ain't sleeping.'

Realizing who it was, Titan loosened her grip on the dagger but still laid in bed acting ignorant to Zagan's existence.

Zagan wanted to probe further but when he heard Titan's steady breathing, he gave up. It seems this fellow is truly asleep.

He moved backward and sat on a wooden chair that was located not too far from Titan's bedside.

He sat there for a while, not making any movement or saying anything. Titan just waited patiently. But even though she laid there patiently, she was still eager as to why he had come to her room at the time of the night. What was going on in his mind and why wasn't he sleeping yet? Was it because she didn't say good night to him? No! That couldn't be it. It must be something else. Was he bothered by this new environment? But this isn't his first night here.

Titan concealed her thoughts and made many speculations as to why he would show up in her room just like that and at such an hour.

Just as she was about to snap out of her act, Zagan sighed and channeled his thoughts to hers.

'You probably won't even remember what I'm about to tell you when you wake up. And that's why I want to say it now.'

From the tone of his thoughts, Titan knew something was wrong and whatever it was that he was about to tell her, must be very important and, it might even be his darkest secret, one that he never wanted anyone to find out. So she listened attentively while pretending to be a log on a bed.

Zagan chuckled bitterly but after that, Titan didn't hear anything again but only heard the wooshing sound of the wind. Just like that, he left without saying anything else leaving Titan in deep thoughts.

'What did he want to say? Why did he leave all of a sudden? Does he not trust me enough? Oh wait is that even a question? How can he trust me with something when we just met a few days ago? It's enough that he even came to my room and was about to talk. At least, it means he trusted me a little.'

Zagan went back to his room and covered himself with a blanket shutting his eyes tightly and hoping that this time, he would sleep for real.

After a few seconds that felt like years, he began to count hoping to fall asleep, and thankfully, he did.

The bright sun rose early in the morning. The freshness and power it brought forth were extraordinary. Unlike Zagan, someone could not sleep at night as she rolled in bed and didn't even realize when it was morning again.

Titan could not sleep after Zagan's visit yesterday night. She wondered what he wanted to say and why he just left without saying it. If he had come to her, then why didn't he just relieve himself of his burden?

She didn't know why, but whenever she tried to sleep again, she would hear the bitterness in his chuckle. Why did he carry so much burden?

Her head was banging due to her sleepless night so she decided to take a bath since it was already morning. She dashed to the bathroom in the corridor and took a quick bath then changed into fresh clothes. What a way to relieve herself from that headache.

She decided to focus on today's activity and not bother with what Zagan wanted to say to her. If he wants to say it, then he surely would. She wasn't going to persuade him. In fact, she was prepared to pretend not to have heard anything he said last night.

Titan walked out of her unit but was startled when she saw who was standing outside.

'You... What are you doing here?'

Zagan who had his head bowed as he kicked the stones that laid on the ground, raised his head and saw Titan. His beautiful unique eyes were beaming like the sun as he smiled at her.

What was he doing there so early in the morning and why is he giving off a different vibe from last night? Is he trying to conceal his hurts?

Zagan didn't say anything but simply grabbed onto Titan's hand and he ran towards an unknown place.

Titan stared at Zagan, confused about where he was bringing her but she didn't stop him. Instead, she was eager to know where he was leading her.

He just kept running and soon, they went deeper into the Academy premises where he stopped and smiled slightly.

It was only after they got to where he led her that she tore her gaze from him. Titan stared at the scene before her and gawked. Even though she had spent more than nine years in this Academy, she had never been to this place. How did he find such a place?

Titan spaced out for a while. This place was incredibly beautiful. The plants were all red like fire totally contrasting the sky which was as blue as the ice in the sea. She could not understand why he had brought her here but all she knew was that she loved it.

Zagan was pleased with her expression. It felt good to find someone who understood him and liked what he liked even though they were of the same gender. He wasn't looking for love, he was looking for a friend. Be it male or female.

Titan was lost in the scenery until Zagan spoke waking her from her daze. 'Didn't you notice something?'

Titan tore her gaze from the blue sky and wondered for a moment before shaking her head.

Zagan smiled 'This is the pictorial representation of what we look like. As red as fire and as blue as ice.'

Titan stared at him intensely. She could almost swear that her heart skipped a beat. But why? She just met him a few days ago and she was still pretending to be a boy so why was he saying something so nice as this?

To Titan? His words were nice and slightly awkward but to any other person who would have heard it, they would see it as fact.

Titan's eyes widened in realization when she thought of something. 'Wait! Does he like boys?'
