Chapter 48: Making Things Difficult

Everything was set up. It was going to be a risky situation, but Ransom knew what had to be done. He just hoped that everything would work out with minimum casualties.

According to Detective Alvarado, he had a team on standby, but they didn't want to get caught in the middle of mafia affairs, especially when they were going to be armed. That meant Ransom would be going in with his guys alone.

Thanks to the work he and his guys had done over the past week, he knew that Brian was working with the police to take down the Giudices, and he basically had permission to use the Scutaris to do so. For a while, Ransom didn’t understand why Brian was so obsessed with getting his stuff back from Leena’s place— which he quickly discovered had been planted there— but after having Mariano tracking Brian, they figured out that he knew who Ransom was. They assumed that Brian was going to hold Leena hostage and try to get Ransom to trade places with her or something along those lines.
