CHAPTER 6: NEW CEO OF THE BARDOT JEWELERY

CHAPTER 6

“Sir, I got a letter from the Bardot family. They’re inviting all big families to the party.” The butler handed him the envelope.

Alexander walked back to the door and opened it. After going through, he was lost in thoughts.

“The Bardot has a daughter? How comes I didn’t know that? Or maybe because they hid her so well from the outside world?”

...Same morning...

Gianna walked out of the car after the guards opened it. Mr. Henry Bardot also walked out and exchanged looks with his smiling daughter.

“If Xavier wasn’t that busy today, he would be the one walking you around.” Henry Bardot straightened up and walked towards Gianna.

“Forget Xavier for now, I have more time with him in future. I feel like am in heaven walking with my dad.” Gianna intertwined her hands with her father’s. Her father didn’t resist. Instead, he welcomed this father daughter love gesture with a wide smile.

Before officially handing the Bardot Jewellery company to Gianna, her father decided to walk her around her around. She hadn’t been here for three good years.

It may not seem a great company just because it was a jewellery company, but it was super great. It not only controlled most of the gems, diamonds, gold, silver and all expensive minerals directly from the mining grounds, it was the largest jewel production company in the country.

And now, Gianna was to take over directly from her father.

After walking around for a while and showing her all the places she needed to know, Henry Bardot remained behind to arrange for a conducive working environment for his daughter.

Elliot requested to come and pick Gianna up. This was partly because he would be going back to the film and not coming back more often, and also to make up for the three years.

Elliot Bardot, the great and famous actor walked out of his car parked besides the cars Gianna and her dad came with. A lady saw him and immediately became happy. She rushed to his side and wanted to grabbed his arms but he dodged and hurried forward.

Moments later, Elliot and Gianna walker out of the enormous company laughing. Elliot did the talking and Gianna did the listening. Suddenly, Gianna frowned as she was a lady walk towards them. This was none other than Mira Solace, Alexander Solace’s sister.

Elliot immediately sensed the change in mood. “What is it?”

But before Gianna could answer, Mira blurted out “Mr. Elliot, how can you be walking around with such a lowly hoe who only wants to be with people for their money? She recently broke up with my brother and good heavens my brother is free now. I know her...”

“Princess, who is she?” The Bardot family was one great family with great people that minded only their business. It made sense that Elliot didn’t know Mira. But he frowned even more because Mira was the one trying to grab his arms earlier.

“Mira... Alexander’s sister.” Gianna loosened the car keys and frowned even more.

The dark clouds seemed to have frozen above Elliot’s face. Someone says this to his sister?

“Calling her princess? She’s a lazy bitch, money grabber and good for nothing woman who knows nothing but to cling to men for depending on the weight of their pocket!” Mira saw Elliot frown and thought this was the opportunity. “You don’t know me? Am the daughter of the Solace. This bitch was once married to my brother Alex.”

Whoosh.....

The bunch of car keys landed on Mira's face and she screamed in pain holding her bleeding face. Gianna withdrew her hand and looked at the screaming Mira.

“Great Elliot, help me. See how disrespectful this silly woman is.” Mira screamed trying to let her hands off her face.

A slap landed on her already bleeding face and she immediately spit out a mouthful of blood with her whole body shaking from both pain and disbelief. Elliot did just slap her for trying to warn him against a bad woman. After all it was her dream to one day get married to one of the Bardot's son, especially Elliot.

But Elliot was burning with anger, at the same time wondering how her sister managed to persevere for three years with such people around her. What or rather how much money could Gianna asked to be in a position of being called money grabber? He knew how well reserves Gianna was. Even though they spoilt her, she was still a good sensible and reserved girl who respected her body and everyone else around her. Since when did someone get the audacity of calling her a prostitute?

His body was trembling with anger but Gianna pulled him aside.

“Gg, let me show this idiot what an angry man can do!” Elliot said amidst clenched teeth.

“You are an actress, a great man and a Bardot family member, you can’t disgrace yourself by creating a scandal of fighting such a fragile woman. You are past that. Besides, aside from attracting the headline as a Bardot, you attract the headline as a celebrity. You want such a scandal to follow you? Come on...” Gianna rolled her hands on her brother’s back.

“When her brother comes, hand him a copy of surveillance video.” Gianna said to the guards to pass the information over.

Afterwards, they entered the car and left.

Mira fished out her phone and dialled Alexander’s number. After it went through, she sobbed even more.

“Brother... You can’t imagine what that your silly ex wife did to me. Am bleeding in the face right now!”

“How dare she?” Alex immediately flew into rage. “she has grown wings just because we divorced? I looked down on the fact that her friend slapper mom, but this, am not taking it anymore!”

After getting Mira's location, Alex who had been too lazy to walk out of the house left in a hurry. He kept cursing. Since he broke up with Gianna, she seemed to have broken out of the cage. Even though he personally didn’t know where she was and had been feeling lonely, he won’t take it anymore if she harms his family. He would look for her whatever it takes.
