Epoch 5: First Kiss in the Wild.

Hou was disheartened when Tang Tang didn't give an answer, and his anger towards Xue deepened.

"D-do you like Xue more?" Hou asked, but he didn't wait for Tang Tang's answer; instead, he started to tell all his good qualities.

Hou didn't answer and just continued to hug Tang Tang. He planted small kisses on his hair as he repeatedly whispered his name. "Tang Tang.."

"Hou!" Xue called again when he didn't hear a response.

"WHAT?" He angrily retorted without looking back.

"Mother and Father are looking for you, and it is already time to eat." Even though Xue can't see the person Hou is hugging, he knows who it is.

After their mother talked to Hou earlier, his brother immediately ran out to find the sub-beast.

He was already informed about their conversation, and he didn't have any objections to it. His mother is the clan witch, and he knew what was best for the tribe. The only problem is his twin brother, who showed strong interest in Tang Tang and had a deep hatred for him.

When Tang Tang heard this, he slightly pushed Hou. "Let's go back."

"No, I want to stay with you!" Hou pressed Tang Tang again to his bare chest.

When they pass by Xue, Tang Tang politely smiles at the emotionless man.

Hou didn't give him even a glance. The least he wants to see right now is Xue. Even Tang Tang said that he would marry the person he liked. He still didn't clearly say who it was—him or his brother.

'Didn't we kiss? He kissed me! It means he likes me too, right?'

Anyway, he won't let Xue get on his way. He will show Tang Tang and his mother that he is also worthy. Like Tang Tang said, 'I just need to believe in myself!'

Xue is looking at the backs of the two as they get farther away. His face is emotionless, but if one looks closer, there's a glint of warmth in those ocean blue eyes.

He heard all the things the sub-beast said to his brother. Words that his twin brother needed the most.

For the past few years, he has known that Hou is struggling because of him. Because he was born different, the tribe already set him as the next chieftain.

And because they are twins, the two of them are always compared in every single thing they do. He tried to give way to Hou before, but it only made Hou hate him more.

His mother is right; the sub-beast named Tang Tang is a good fortune, not only for the tribe but also for Hou.

Unfortunately, he needed to stop the two before the situation became out of control.
